What if....All these polls with Kerry ahead is just a setup....
...a setup so they can amplify Bush's big BOUNCE after his convention?

I mean, they made such a big freaking stink over Kerry not having any bounce after his convention. What better way to make George look 'bouncy' than to bulk up kerry's numbers so it looks like George took a big ole bounce after his convention.

I know - loosen my :tinfoilhat:

1. It's not clear to me that conventions
matter all that much anymore. No one but cable channels provides anything other than cursory coverage and every action from start to finish is stage-managed.

You've got to go all the way back to the 1960s to find some meaningful conventions and even then they didn't match the suspense of the 'smoke-filled room' days before that.

It's also not clear to me that polls matter much anymore or that they have any integrity at all. Heck, let me go all the way. It's not clear to me that elections even matter anymore. Look at 2000. We all know who actually won.

2. Yes it must be a plot
I just don't see how a President thats responsible for a bad war and a bad economy can be dropping in the polls. This is America after all.

Could this mean that the public at large is waking up to the fact that Bush is possibly the worst president in history? Yeah right.

4. Neither convention's going to get a bounce.
America already knows who it's going to vote for.

7. I trust Zogby..................
and according to him things don't look too good for Bush. He doesn't expect Bush to get much of a bounce from the RNC and barring any cataclysmic event, the election is Kerry's.

10. Has anyone tried this?
I've been ignoring the polls for the most part because I think the turnout will be one of the largest we've ever seen.

But now I wonder if the polls just before an election was as it wound up being on election day, historically speaking. Do they reflect what the actual vote was fairly closely? Or not?

Hope that made sense.

Cyn:)

11. Yes- Most Of The Final Polls Showed A Close Race
While the majority showed Chimpy ahead by two or three points pollsters like CBS News, Zogby, and Harris came close to nailing it.....
