I want everyone to let the assasination comments go please
I may be in the minority of Obama supporters. However I want this story to die and here is my reason. When you have to look into the eyes of someone who wants to vote for Obama like I have but fears that they may be putting his life in danger and you have to reasure that voter they aren't putting him in danger by voting for him than you'll understand why I don't want to be talking about assasinations anymore. We expressed our outrage. Everyone knows. Time to let this go. Please. It doesn't help Obama.

1. No worries. The word should have never been uttered in the first place.

2. And My Post Was More About The Stuff We Let Slide...
Everybody is allowed to pick the point on the "time-line' when they could not take it any longer.

That is all I meant.

4.  "... fears that they may be putting his life in danger ..."
That's an absurd idea for someone to entertain. :eyes:

8. Yet
I've had that conversation with both White and African American voters while campaigning for him. Mostly with people who lived through the 60's.

5. I agree there is no point
It only serves to damage the good Clinton supporters who have endured more than Job in supporting their candidate.

11. O.K., I'll let it go but I wish that people would understand the gravity of her remarks
The fact that some people cannot understand why this is serious is baffling. Obama has received death threats since he announced for office. It is outrageous that we are being blamed for reacting out of offense and disgust at Hillary's comments. It would be nice if people acknowledged how outrageous Hillary's remark truly is, and especially since she's made the same remark before. Blaming it on lethargy is unacceptable.

12. I agree with your post, Jake, for different reasons.
If Obama supporters accuse fellow Democrats, like myself, of wanting Obama assassinated, you make it hard for me to like your candidate.

16. Whatever, please
Does the world revolve around your screen name or something? I mean seriously, like folks give a good damn if you and people like you like the dem candidate. I say that because as hard as it may be for you to believe you are in the freaking minority. Folks have other things to worry about besides your hurt feelings, seriously it isn't and never was about little ol you. Don't you have a faux outrage pastorgate thread to tend to?

15. Sorry, no. I've never heard a major candidate for President EVER bring up
assassination when discussing campaign strategy and rationale--twice. It was a disgustingly calculated word choice. She should never be allowed to live it down--I don't care if she was running against Obama, Edwards, or McCain, or the Tooth Fairy. You don't bring it up and then pass it off as merely an innocuous historical reference. She must think we're all retarded.

17. What Clinton has said and done in the past
week speaks volumes to her character. She hints at assassination and never apologizes to Obama. A Catholic priest gets silly on her and she demands an apology and her hypocrite supporters eat this shit up. They have the nerve to tell us that her comments were no big deal even though she made them several times but oh don't mock the monster cause all hell will break loose. I will never forget or forgive her comments and I suspect it will be that way for years to come for most folks. Hillary didn't do herself any favors with that comment and I'm not willing to let it go. I don't post about it but personally I think she is a jackass for even bringing it up.

20. Clintons dug up a new wild speech at the church Obama attends
They're pumping up talking points to crank up the volume on that one now. So the RFK comment that echoed Huckabee's bad joke will fade out.
