As the November election gets closer, we do need to combat the media spin, and therefore what we have to do is to have a barrage of ads featuring real Kerry voters. Also, there should be a play to the base around November. Make sure Bush holds to the debates that are set.

There are a lot of Dean people on this board who don't like me because I wasn't an enthusiastic supporter of the Governor during the primaries, and had some questions about his progressive ethics. These days, my concerns get spun into "I was spreading right-wing talking points," and the innuendo has become cemented as "fact."

If this is the best you can do to prove that I am some right-wing anti-Dean mole, I suggest you eat your Wheaties and try again tomorrow. You said you are sory, and I acept that, but it fucking pisses me off.

By the fucking way, Dean people, I was 100% correct to question Dean's standing as a progressive during the primaries. A couple of weeks ago, Dean appeared at the Progressive Democratic Convention here in Boston. My friend Kevin Spidel, who was Kucinich's National Field Organizer, had to work like a demon to get Dean to come.

Upon first ofering him the invitation to speak, Dean replied (and I quote), "Why do you want me there? I'm not a progressive."

BTW, I don't believe your story about Dean's remarks or how hard it was to get him to the Take Back America Convention. He already spoke to that group in June and has been working with them and the 21st century democrats since then.

Dem_Strategist is and I don't understand the "hoop-la" in questioning it. Bottom line, we have an election to win and I'm willing to take all the help we can get. Skepticism comes with politics--if you know how to play and obviously many of us here have "toyed" with playing, then we should welcome any help with healthy doses of encouragement, 'cause God knows we need all the help we can get to work against Bush's smear. I saw what he did to Ann Richards when he ran for governor and that was a cake-walk for him. Rove knows how to trash and so far he's proven it, however, this WILL be different.

I say pull out the stops and help us in any way you can. However, I know it will take some to start thinking out of their comfort box, which is probably where 98% of the skeptism begins.

Lead on. I want to send GW back to Crawford in November, however, I know he'll fight kicking and screaming as only a "silver-spooned" spoiled brat does.

If Kerry can go after the divorced white male vote, making just a dent there, he's got it locked up.

Issues that they care about include equal access to children.

I'm not at all sure there's a federal role in all of that, (and I'm happily married myself & never been divorced), but I have it under good authority that this demographic is probably what hurts Kerry the most.

Turns out, to me, most "conservatives" I've met are mostly resentful at something that happened to them in their lives- and divorce is often a biggie.

My 2 cents.

Don't know how they can use it, but Kerry can probably make an appeal here somehow.
