Busloads of Clinton supporters will swarm DNC meeting regarding MI and FL delegates

<snip>

Busloads of Hillary Clinton supporters will swarm a meeting next week at a D.C. Marriott, where Democratic Party elders hope to forge a compromise over Florida and Michigan's now-voided convention delegates.

"We really don't know what to expect, but we do know that the Clinton people are very organized," said a senior Democratic National Committee source.

Clinton, in Florida on Wednesday, compared the current vote fiasco to 2000, when George Bush edged Al Gore - still a sore point for many Democratic partisans.

"If Democrats send the message that we don't fully value your votes, we know Sen. (John) McCain and the Republicans will be more than happy to have them," Clinton said.

"The Republicans will make a simple and compelling argument: Why should Florida and Michigan voters trust the Democratic Party to look out for you when they won't even listen to you?" she added.

shades of 2000 indeed:

12. I am old enough to remember when DU was for voting rights - it was its
raison d'etre in 2001.
The Delay thugs in your photo were protesting vote counting.
My sign in DC will say: "COUNT EVERY VOTE"
True to my beliefs since I picked my handle here: Robbedvoter
As Pete Sieger said: "If you can't change the world, at least don't let it change you"
DU just turned full circle - mocking activism dor democracy.
I never forgave Republicans going along with election theft because it benefited them.

21. We *ARE* for voters' rights. But all electuons have rules, and everyone knew the rules when...
they started down this long, now-wearisome road.

Hillary just found it convenient to forget the rules
at several different points to here.

changing the game in the middle of the match I suppose that puts
against voter disenfranchisement then.

22. The superdelegates need to declare NOW, and stop this insanity.
The superdelegates must declare their intentions BEFORE the May 31 meeting of the Democratic National Committee, because that will stop the appeals process over Florida and Michigan that Clinton has already signaled she will pursue at the meeting, with the intent to drag out her appeal all the way to the convention in August.

All of the fighting over Florida and Michigan can be rendered irrelevant if the superdelegates will stand up and declare NOW, before May 31, to put Obama over the top.

Hillary Clinton must not be allowed to hold this party hostage any longer.

Her intent is to so severely damage Obama's candidacy, continuing for as long as she possibly can, that he will lose to McCain in November. Then, her road to the WH will begin anew, with a moribund Democratic party in her wake. And don't think she wouldn't run as an independent if it suited her.

For the sake of our party, WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF HILLARY CLINTON'S TACTICS.

Superdelegates, STAND UP NOW.

24. "the Clinton people are very organized"
I'll believe that when I see it. Are they going to be wearing Dodd and Kucinich shirts again and say to the press "We're not supposed to say who we are supporting...", or are they going to be a little bit more subtle this time?

"Those nasty Republicans did this to us, and we are being punished by the DNC! So to get back at them , we are going to do EVERY THING IN OUR POWER to make sure that people keep voting Republican in Florida!"

37. Well FINALLY!!!!
Geez.. anything to do with Clinton being organized would be a surprise and change.

The Clinton campaign seems to not plan and then when that fails just keep shoving forward until something changes their course.

It is sad to watch the implosion of a political caeer.
