It is downright pathetic. He can't celebrate this milestone in his campaign for fear of hurting Hillary and her supporter's feelings. It is disgusting that they would take something this monumental away from him.

5. I don't know.
I just feel like he should be able to go out and have balloons dropping and party party party all around. He shouldn't have to be reserved tonight.

15. Just think of their feelings!!!!
Forget that supporters of Dodd, Biden, Kucinich, Edwards, and Richardson didn't throw temper tantrums and threaten to switch parties.

The Clinton Bubble Brigade will follow her over a third party cliff, if she lead them.

13. That's what I'm saying. He shouldn't have to change his message tonight because of her
fragile feelings. How do you demand that the winner not act like a winner when the winner has fairly won? What kind of sick crap is that?

10. on the MSNBC scroll earlier
it read that Hillary Clinton said today "You can declare yourself anything, but unless you have the votes, it doesn't matter." Why does she declare herself ahead in the popular vote then? She doesn't have the votes, unless you subtract support away from Obama and use her wacky metric (I know that Hillary supporters will make the case for her popular vote, but it's just no sale for me.I respect your argument, but no, no sale).

16. It's OK, given Ted. There will be time enough soon.
Soon we will wake up and this will be over and even Hillary will acknowledge that Barack is the nominee. She will try the "nuclear option" at the end of the month, then hang in there until after June 3, at which time party leaders will assure her that she is not taking this to the convention floor.

Then she will make an extraordinarily gracious concession speech, campaign minimally for Barack and hope for his defeat in November. By the way, prediction here: She doesn't get the VP slot.

17. part of her overall plan was to denigrate every success he had, and trumpet every little one she had
Edited on Tue May-20-08 05:47 PM by SoCalDem
when he won, it was because of "the blacks", but when racists and Rush-bots inched her pasta finish line, it was a glorious victory, replete with confetti, balloons & smiles all around :puke:

she has sucked every bit of joy out of the whole process.. Even if things had gone her way, and she had prevailed by feb 5, it would have been a thing of Process/Inevitablility.. not because people LOVED her.. That early-on in the process, she had not become "St Hillary, patron saint of all wimmin-folks".

As soon as he started winning, her campaign has been all about ruining him and depriving him of any satisfaction. Every "goal" he reached, was immediately met by another bomb they threw at him, and a reason why that goal was unimportant, and how a NEW goal had to be met..

and even in victory, now he has to kowtow to HER feelings, and HER psyche.. (she's quite unhinged these days, so why tempt fate)

She's a leech he cannot quite get peeled off, and even when he does, he will still bleed a bit..

It would be as if someone didn't get elected Prom Queen so the dance gets cancelled. Great example for girls - if you don't win, instead of congratulating the winner, throw a fit! Talk about anti-feminist behavior ---OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH you'll hurt our widdle feelings!

Grow up!

28. No other candidate's supporters have acted this childish and petty and vindictive.
When Biden, Dodd, Edwards, Kucinich, et all dropped out, their supporters were gracious in defeat and moved on to another candidate (my first choice was originally Edwards). Many -- not all, but many -- of Hillary's supporters are acting like spoiled brats throwing a months-long tantrum because they're not getting their way.

36. Yep
She is playing the "gender" card every single time she wins. She can claim "victory", and she can lie about having the popular vote, and she can get away with it because she will play the "gender" card if anyone says anything. Every time I hear hear spew her lies I dislike her more and more!

Getting there is half the fun, anticipation makes the fruit of victory sweeter etc etc etc.

It's OK, really. Obama will have a grand time celebrating when the real time comes.

33. It's not about anyone's "feelings."
Tho I am sure the misogynist press is telling you that.

Since when has anyone, anywhere been concerned about Hillary's "feelings?"

It is about Barack. And his need to not gloat... which would not bode well for him in remaining states.

Some voters just plain dislike pomp and arrogance.

in a lot of remaining states.

Point taken.
