1. Randi is a dingbat
First, it's too late to mount an independent run.

Second, it would destroy Hillary for all time in politics, not to mention devestate her husband's legacy comepletely for all times.

The earliest deadlines for independents are in late June in some states. Some state's deadlines are in September.

get your name on the ballot. Somewhere around 15 states have already had signature deadlines pass.

107. Not true.
According to the Federal Election Commission there are three states (Texas, Nevada and Utah) who have May deadlines or before. http://www.fec.gov/pubrec/2008pdates.pdf These early deadlines were challenged by third parties in 2000 and 2004 and the courts allowed candidates on the ballot.

unless they belong to certain third parties who hold their conventions after the filing date. Gotta read the fine print.

128. Yes they did, but again - read the fine print .........
Some third parties, like the Greens and Libertarians, are allowed on the ballot after the filing date. A "true independent" would not be allowed on the ballot, and Hillary would be disallowed for running for another party's nomination.

116. Randi never used to "speculate"
She always cited her sources. Told her listeners that they should not believe her at face value and they should first look it up for themselves.

Now she "speculates." Which is no better than the crap Limbaugh or Hannity spews on a daily basis.

Again, it is a tragic fall from the top for a once talented talk radio show host.

And this comes from a 7 year listener.

for her at the convention.

Those are the only two reasons Randi can think of to explain why she is STILL running.

I think the second scenario is more plausible than the first - mainly because she is out of money.

The thought of her as VP makes me crazy - and I imagine it does for Obama as well.

fell and broke several teeth.

And then tried to blame it on a "mugging," before backing up and saying that she "fell walking her dog by her apartment," before admitting that she was walking out of a bar, but then suggested that she fainted due to lack of food (wtf?) or someone bumping into her, and then she refused to answer for it.

Yeah, no, she wasn't drunk at all.

And people getting fall-down drunk hours before they're supposed to go on air, missing work, and then making a number of bullshit excuses about it is absolutely totally unrelated to drunkenness. Sober people do that all the time.

Have you ever gotten drunk? Anyone you know ever gotten drunk? Ever trip, or stumble while drunk? Does that automatically make you or them A drunk? Or just drunk?

And yes, people do stumble, trip, and/or fall when they're stone cold sober.

102. And like I said:
Most responsible drinkers don't get fall-down drunk in broad daylight, a few hours before they have to work. Alcoholics will.
Most responsible drinkers will admit when got drunk and did something stupid, and won't make up a bunch of flimsy excuses about their episodes. Alcoholics will.

And most stone-cold sober people who fall:
1. Possess some recollection of falling.
2. Attempt to break their fall with their hands.
3. Are not walking out of a bar.

Edit: Seriously. This was common knowledge *before* she humiliated her employer over it. We aren't all just making this up in some grand conspiracy.

right-wing blowhard. Air America is a wreck because most liberals simply don't appreciate loudmouth jackasses yelling at them.

Yeah yeah, I know she's no longer on Air America, but I really don't have time to tune into Nova Radio either.

78. You must not know much about Randi, she thinks it's funny to call women fuckin' whores.
She uses it in her "comedy routines", and she drank a lot of Ketel One bloody mary's at her local dive without eating, stepped outside to

smoke on the street, passed out and smashed her face in.

125. I don't know Randi?
I live in the same area and I've been listening to her since the early 90's. She's a good person. I hate to see a good person maligned. You only hate her because she feels the same as I do about Clinton - disappointed. Randi says that any Democrat who wouldn't vote for Clinton in the GE is crazy. Bet you'd just love Randi if she were disappointed in Obama instead of Clinton. The thing is - sometimes I'm not so sure Randi is right that we should vote for Clinton if she gets the nomination because Clinton is really angering me. Are tou still going to badmouth Randi if Clinton steals this election and Randi is urging everyone to vote for her?

36. I like Randi, but Hillary isn't going to run as an indie
She and her husband are too wrapped up in the Democratic establishment. Besides, if she bolts off on her own, she will lose the support of over half her followers, who will likely stick with the Dems. As a result, she merely becomes a spoiler, and on every Democrat's shitlist.

With the Dems poised to build on their Senate lead this year, they could have room to, oh, ostracize her, as they could possibly do with Lieberman.

In addition, Bill's legacy becomes tarnished within his own party. He doesn't want that.

My theory is that she's still in the race to pay off debts and to formulate a graceful exit strategy and transformation to an Obama GE campaign. She'll bow out and support Obama. That's the way these things usually work out.

Hillary is a solid Democrat and would never do any such thing, which Randi well knows. In fact, I don't even know that Randi's a DEMOCRAT - progressive yes, Democrat, not so sure.

Hillary Clinton is not our enemy. She is a competitor, but she is not the enemy. When your favorite sports team is playing against another team, the other team is not the enemy. Randi just does not seem to get that. Her hatred of Hillary is non productive for Democrats. She is being a terrible example of a progressive Democrat by spewing her vomit on the radio. She has already lost a ton of listeners and a job. She was lucky to get picked up by someone else, but if she continues with this crap she will lose so much more. Most radio or television personalities that are supporting Obama at this time would also support Clinton if she were the nominee. Randi would still be ripping on Clinton even if she became the President.

She used to be the most talented political talk show host on radio. She was excellent at citing her sources and not spouting unsubstantiated gossip.

Now, she is barely recognizable. She's a caricature of her former self. She's become like Limbaugh and Hannity in pulling things out of her arse without any factual support.
