1. Hillary Clinton is incompetent. Her campaign is a fucking disaster movie.
She squandered every advantage she had.

She is not qualified to handle a large organization muh less run this country.

5. How is coming as close as she has
"a fucking disaster movie"? I don't get it. She's run a tough campaign and has come very close to victory. If she loses, she'll have lost narrowly. How is that a disaster?

10. becuase of what she squandered
extremely famous last name,
army of syncophants,
allegiance of powerful big Dem donors,
"home" state with lots of delegates,
opponent = black man whose middle name is HUSSEIN.

12. She started a mile race 1/4 mile ahead of the pack.
Edited on Tue May-20-08 10:16 AM by SoonerPride
And lost.

She had the name, the machine, the money, and hell even 200 or so super delegates in her pocket at he start of the race.

And yet she lost??

Her gross incompetence running this organizaton should give anyone pause in letting her head ANYTHING as she has shown herself incapable of handling the job.

This is a train wreck of monumental proportions that will be studied for years to come as one of the most inconceivable implosions in political history.

EVERYONE said the nomination was hers. It was a freaking cake-walk coronation and she and her team BLEW IT!

That is a disaster movie.

14. The third Reich came very close to taking over all of Europe. It was a disaster by any
metric you choose.

"All for the want of a nail..."

You are also aware that just because the Clinton campaign keeps repeating over and over how close it is doesn't actually make it so. If you look at all the political futures markets, the Clinton Campaign has been way down since super Tuesday.

I think that's a much more objective and reliable source for how close things are than the Clinton campaign's daily conference calls.

I realize that as a true partisan, you have trouble seeing this.

15. Because she was supposed to be the inevitable nominee.
Though I wouldn't call her campaign a full-fledged "disaster," especially since she did rack up some impressive wins, but the fact that she went from inevitable to second place is very telling.

17. She raised more money than any other candidate in history (save Obama)
Edited on Tue May-20-08 10:32 AM by SoonerPride
and is STILL in debt to the tune of $25 million?

That is a disaster sized squandering of a titanic wad of cash.

Disaster is exactly the word I'd use.

23. In terms of money management and hiring personnel, yes.
But in terms of the end results, she did do quite well a lot of the time.

26. Of course she did. She carried my state by a wide margin.
Edited on Tue May-20-08 10:33 AM by SoonerPride
She still has the name, lots of money (even if it is borrowed at this point)and a very well oiled machine from the 90s to rely on.

But the fact that she lost AND is in massive debt points to gross incompetence in my book.

I voted for her BTW.

Her mismangement really shocked me and opened my eyes as to what a Hillary as President miht look like, and it ain't a pretty sight.

16. Last year, the New York Mets came very close to victory, lost by one game, and ran a tough schedule.
Edited on Tue May-20-08 10:23 AM by Occam Bandage
Their collapse was one of the biggest disasters in baseball history. They had a seven-game lead with 17 to go; they ended up losing 12 of 17 (and 6 of the last 7) and missing the postseason by a single game.

Disasters ain't defined by how close you came to winning. They're how far you've fallen.

18. Its a disaster because she squandered huge early leads
by running a bad campaign in many states. I don't fault her for this, I fault her campaign for its inability to adapt to what Obama was doing.

22. But she HEADS her team. So the buck stops with HER.
You can't blame McAwful or Penn or Wolfson or even Bill for her troubles.

SHE is in charge of HER team.

To say otherwise is sexist (it implies girls don't really run the operation).

25. Lets say Obama was Island military nation A and Clinton was B
Nation B has a HUGE military and because of an assured win they do little in the way of tactics. They send their tanks in straight lines and party so much the front lines are drunk.

And they got their rear ends handed to them...

Clinton HAD the ability to CRUSH Obama but she expected it to be over at MOST Super Tuesday.

27. Or the tortoise and the hare analogy works too.
Slow and steady wins the race.

They sprinted out to a lead and lost sight of what the hell was going on and got passed and then could never catch up.

24. Had everyone started on a level playing field, you would be right.
But she started with so many built-in tactical advatanges that her loss is more than anyone else in the field's loss, it is a titanic-esque disaster.

She was the ship who couldn't sink.

And she sunk anyways.
