Question here: Aren't the FEC Fundraising Disclosure reports due today?
http://www.fec.gov/info/report_dates.shtml#monthly

I have been wonder if these reports will surface around the time Clinton declares victory in Kentucky. Might take a little wind out of the ole' sail. Anyway, does anyone know when they are typically reported????

3. They must be filed TODAY
Edited on Tue May-20-08 08:44 AM by TechBear_Seattle
11:59:59 PM tonight is the last second to file. 12:00:00 AM would be tomorrow and technically over-due. I believe the time is specifically set for Eastern, but it might be legal for the campaigns to file by 11:59:59 PM Pacific time if the candidates themselves are physically on the west coast (ie they are filing from Oregon.)

8. Howard Dean and Donna Brazile are rigging the race for Obama
Its a project they began in 2004 - they decided then he should be the candidate and began rigging the Dem primary process to ensure he would get nominated. Unfortunately, MI and FL didn't agree to the plan.

Dean may be able to twist a lot of arms of big money funders, but he can't stop them from coming to the realization that Obama can't win the GE and is growing increasingly unpopular with women and hispanic voters with each passing week. The funders may have fallen for the Dean/DLC pro-Obama happy talk a few months ago, but as Obama's popularity among voters continues to drop, they can't ignore it much longer.

Dean's job is to see to it that the party nominates a good candidate who can win in November. He screwed up. He picked the wrong guy and made the mistake of crapping on the Dem's base of women voters. He needs to resign and let the Dems have a clean primary or convention, not a rigged one.

13. What does this have to with the topic? Nothing, you're just trying to distract people from the FEC.
Looks like it'll be pretty bad. Wonder how all those voters in KY will feel when they see how they voted fo the candidate with the big personal checkbook.

10. We know Hillary's is between 14 and 20, and that includes PA and Elton John
It looks like Hillary hasn't raised too much since her supposed 10 million dollar day after Pennsylvania. Plus, April was the month of the Elton John fundraiser...so if you count that 2.5 million in, the only remaining money she raised for the entire month will be whatever is over 12.5 million (the 10 after PA and the 2.5 Elton John).

From MSNBC's First Read:

"Terry McAuliffe told MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell that Clinton’s haul would be more than $10 million -- in fact, he said it would be the Clinton campaign’s third-biggest month. According to that hint, that would place her haul somewhere between the $14 million she raised in January and the $20 million she secured in March; her biggest haul was $35 million in February. Remember, by the way, this is the fundraising report that will include the $10 million the campaign claims to have raised in the initial 24 hours after the Pennsylvania victory."
