Or just got confused about the "not" thing?

52. If this was an isolated incident, I too would give her the benefit of the doubt
But we have Bubba going around the country saying the GOP is more progressive than Democrats, and we have Mrs. Clinton on conference calls STILL trying to undermine our nominee's legitimacy. To give her the benefit of the doubt at this point would be incredibly naive.

She is campaigning for 2012. But if it comes to that, Mrs. Clinton better not think she can count on my vote!

39. Use of double, triple negatives
Am I the only one who wishes politicians would STOP saying things like "it would be a mistake not to"?

When they put too many negatives in a sentence no wonder they get confused.

It just annoys the hell out of me. "It would be a mistake to vote for McCain" makes so much more sense than "It would be a mistake not to vote for Obama", doesn't it?

/ pet peeve mini-rant. :)

they could keep it in and have an announcer / text scroll that says something like "Do you think she REALLY trusts Obama? Even Hillary isn't convinced you should vote democrat this year."

21. I posted the relevant excerpt on the Political Videos Forum
You can find the video here:
www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x132451

The slip-up you all seem to find so hilarious is around 1:15 from the start.

You will notice that she IMMEDIATELY corrected herself and clarified her point.

If you take into consideration that this interview was done on wednesday - the day after the West Virginia primary - I think it is understandable that Hillary was somewhat tired.

If you want to see someone mis-speak, how about Obama's North Carolina victory speech - where he said that US energy policy is financing both sides of the war on terror?

One time can easily be explained as a slip of the tongue under the stress of campaigning. Twice cannot.
