'While we're choosing our nominee, Republicans are raising Swiftboat $$$" - DNC
Send the DNC some money if you can, folks. You KNOW the Repigs are going to hit us with a steamroller of the nastiest shit they've got and we're going to need the resources to fight back.
_ _ _ _ _

In the past 48 hours, John McCain raised over $9 million for his campaign and the Republican National Committee. While we're choosing our nominee, the Republican machine is working their way across the country, raising money and expanding their bank accounts.

What are they going to do with that money? Attack. As soon as we have our nominee, they'll unleash a flood of expensive negative attacks to try to define our candidate.

That's why we have to be ready for anything -- we can't let them Swift Boat us right out of the gate.

Can you make a contribution to offset the $9 million John McCain has raised the last 48 hours? We need to be able to defend our candidate from the Republican machine as soon as it kicks into gear:

Everywhere John McCain goes his handlers are organizing fundraising receptions, catering to special interests and lobbyists. It's straight out of the George Bush and Karl Rove playbook.

While our primary continues, we can't afford to let John McCain and the Republican machine get a financial advantage. Help us and our nominee stay competitive.

Thanks for your support.

Phil Murphy

1. We'll win the money war..

..I'm not worried about that. Obama's got tons of money, and can have more if he asks.

2. The DNC has been sitting on its hands through this whole thing. Dean didn't defend our people...
on the chat shows, etc.

Too late to hear from him.

3. Too late to fight the Repigs and take the country in November? No it isn't!
Don't make this personal about Dean or the DNC. This isn't about THEM. It's about getting a Democrat back into the White House in November! And to do that the DNC needs the money to fight them!

Please - think about your priorities?

5. He was staying out of the limelight so the candidates could have it.
He has done a great job.

That's a shame people would harm the DNC.

6. We donate, but you should know people here hate the DNC
because Dean is being neutral as he should.

You won't get much of a response.

8. It has always been that way here.
The blogosphere will support candidates but not the structure that builds the party throughout the country.

Yet the same ones here support the 18 state strategy that McAuliffe advocated.

9. I'm not donating a dime until Barack is officially named the nominee and Hillary
is out of the race! If they want money then the SD's should top Obama off. Then I will send some money. HOwever, I will not send a dime until then...
