3. Obama's failure to strongly respond by referencing the Bush family history with the Nazis
is one reason why I am afraid that the Senator is too weak a campaigner to successfully fight off the pukes.

His taking the high road is just a stright path to defeat.

5. What? I don't get the logic
Bush is a douche for bringing up Hitler. So Obama should do the same. I think it is better to just let Bush look like an asshat. No response from Obama needed. It would be nice if someone in the MSM would mention it though.

11. I agree with you -- Obama not bringing up the Bush-Nazi tie would have been a bit much

17. Why Not Something Like This
It is not appeasement, it is negotiation. It is called Diplomacy, something the current administration seems to know nothing about at all. Appeasement is what Prescott Bush did when he actively supported the Nazi movement.

Damn, I'm going to apply for a job as Obama's speech writer!

10. Bush is now useful for one thing and one thing only -
as John McCain's political siamese twin.

Obama doesn't need to go after Bush. the guy's approval rating is already at 27%.

Bush isn't running. McCain is, and that's who Obama must go after.

Bush = irrelevant.

12. That is loonville territory for most people
You let your surrogates make those kinds of statements, you don't launch them when you're having a serious speech on foreign policy.

13. you've got to be kidding.
The chances that Obama -- or Clinton, for that matter -- would toss the nazi point back is zero. It would be politically stupid to do. It would start an entire distracting discussion about chimpy's family history -- but chimpy isn't running and while you can -- and as Obama properly did -- should tie McCain to chimpy's policies, you can't tie McCain to chimpy's grandfather.

4. That is Bush's grandfather. Bush wasn't even born yet.
I doubt it would fly.

14. and McCain isn't either -- which is why you tie McCain to chimpy's policies, not his family history
I love when the concern trolls come out. If only we could get them to work for the repubs...

18. Who Said He Was? Doesn't Hurt To Bring Up That That Is
where Bush's money and power came from though. If they can make Obama responsible for Wright than Prescott is certainly fair game!

9. it would be stupid, and people would get turned off.
let alternative media deal with issues like that, and leave obama to fight a hard but clean fight.
