1. Is THIS Your Card?
'At this point, 35 years later and half a world away, we see no way to resolve which of these versions of reality is closer to the truth,' regarding the truth about John Kerry's service in Vietnam?

2. Yeppers--what a fricking cop-out.
Right there vs. possibly yards or more away?

They've really dropped the ball on this one.

3. I think I've figured out FactCheck's game
they're devoted to muddying the waters on the big Bush lies, by ignoring them diverting people to picayne stuff that leaves people with the impression that "they're all the same."

They don't even stick to their stated mission, and it's hard to see what their reason for being is. It's basically just a blog that doesn't update very often, even though it's funded by a huge foudnation.

4. Things To Consider...Connections To Question
Factcheck is run by a former CNN reporter, Brooks Jackson...whose views seem to parallel the go along/get along attitude in the Beltway where those with the power always get the benefit of the doubt. I've seen him on several shows over the past year where you can sense his conservative leanings and playing enabler of this regime's control on the flow of information.

Also, the site is funded by the Annenberg project. Walter Anneberg was the longtime owner of Readers Digest & TV Guide and was a close buddy with Ronald Raygun. Oh, he also was a major GOOP contributor. He set up a huge endowment that goes to fund various media and political ventures. He also sold TV guide to Newscorp...Rupert Murdoch.

I post, you decide....

6. I ran some of the primaries in Annenberg through Newsmeat and ...
Google and found some interesting things.

While the Foundation does give lots of money to some very good things and that cannot be underestimated, they are very generous, I found affiliations to the gop that ran back, in the case of Leonore Annenberg to the Nixon and Reagan administrations.

Leonore is quite the cash cow for the gop. She gives them TONS of money. Wallis Annenberg, the daughter, lives in California and although she gives lots of money to the gops, she also appears to give a little bit to the Democrats.

Leonore, btw, gave a good pile to help Ah-nold get in office.

8. Well in a general sense, that article is too long and convoluted.
They are trying to give the impression that it's a complex, controversial issue while ignoring the simple important fact that the "swift boat vets" are paid republican operatives who didn't even serve with Kerry. I agree that this "Fact Check" site is a Republican plan to muddy and confuse varioius issues so that the details become obscured and only the initial impressions and soundbytes remain.
