We need political hitmen to go after McCain and his wife
clear and simple. It can't be Obama or his wife. It can't be from inside the campaign. We need the party elders to go out and make speeches, send press releases, pepper every conversation with Tim Russert and everybody else with HARD COLD TRUTHS cast in the worst possible light about McCains. AND about Republicans. and Bush.

Bush = McCain = Future GOP = Iraq failure = Failing Economy.

DO NOT LET THEM SWIFT BOAT OUR CANDIDATE! They are the ones who should be cowering in a corner and apologizing to the American people and the world for the giant clusterfuck they have created.

2. whatever his plan might be, this race baiting and hollering racist
and bigot each time someone on the right speaks out against him will not play in the general. Could backfire.

22. If the shoe fits.
There are plenty of policy differences that do not require any 'race bating' as you put it. But then you already knew that.

8. I believe that
all we need to do is allow the general public to find out who he really is, and what he represents.

27. Which, by the way, is NOTHING.
The man stands for nothing. His opinion changes with the seasons. He doesn't know what he stands for. He can't tell the difference between Sunni and Shia. He was for diplomacy before he was against it. He was for 100 years of war before he decided 4-5 years was enough. He was for earmarks before he was against them. He was for corruption before he railed against it.

What does John McCain stand for? What does he represent? Absolutely NOTHING except 4 more years of pain and suffering.

10. I think "henchmen" is the word we need to use here.
But yes, we do need them to go after BushMcCain every day, to say all the things that need to be said, but not necessarily said by Obama or his team.

12. I'm glad to see the likes of Biden out there.
this has fucking GOT TO STOP. Every time Bush does this.....I want to see press conferences of the unruly Democrats saying this is NOT the way to move forward.

In fact, I'd love someone to have a keynote speech that very specifically tells Bush he's had his 8 years to show he knew what the fuck he was doing as ostensibly the leader of the American people and he now needs to back his shit off and focus on not getting himself arrested, tried, and imprisoned.

13. All we need is to have John McCain to continue speaking from time to time. The more he talks, the
worse it is for him. Poor guy. He's a mess.

16. I'm sorry but I don't quite buy into that being enough
we remember on our scorecards at home during 2000 and 2004 debates, Dems clearly won and Bush clearly was a mess....but they still stole it from us.

We need to BURY MCCAIN in an avalanche of charicatures, framing, negativity, fear-mongering about him on at least 3 fronts that I can think of....and simply render their nominee inoperable at GO.

no more "we'll win on the logic" or "we'll show them we're better".

I like the way Obama and company are striking back.

Bush and McCain can follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell and then stay there with him.

23. Sadly, you may be right. I guess I am being a naive idealist, but I really want that
sort of campaigning to be a thing of the past. Fear mongering, negativity, caricatures will just bring more in our direction. I want the level of political discourse to be elevated. I'm tired of cheap shots about Monica Lewinsky and flag pins. But, like I said, you may be right.

19. and....And...ANDDDD!!!
they need to be proactive and go on the attack with the same kind of framing and head slapping of McCain NOW. early and often. Make McCain such a shriveled little parody that no one will turn out to vote for him except the 30% kooks who think Bush is Jesus.

21. I agree. No later than next Tuesday there should be moratorium
on attacks of Obama allowed by bitter gun toting bible thumping Hillary supporters. (COME ON!! that was a joke on Obama's poor choice of words more than anything else).

We need to band together.

P.S. I am ROCKIN and STOKED about going to Obama rally in downtown Portland this Sunday.
