I was wrong.
I thought that Edwards had waited so long to endorse that it really didn't matter anymore.

I was mistaken. Beautiful timing.

3. Especially after the Obama campaign was able to snatch some of his delegates earlier
I thought he had been relegated. These guys are good.

6. Ooooh! I just grabbed that issue today!
I picked it up, as well as the Time Magazine "and the winner is" cover. It was over $10.00 for both issues, which kind of shocked me!!

I handed the magazines to the clerk at the bookstore, an African-American woman about 50 years old. "Oh, Obama!" she exclaimed, and I smiled and said, "Isn't he fantastic?" We then chatted for like five minutes on how much we both love Obama, while people in line behind me tapped their feet impatiently and muttered under their breath.

It was awesome. :-)

and found it very revealing.

20. The Obama campaign did not know until last night
According to MSNBC, John did not tell any of his former staffers or the Obama camp that he was going to endorse until last night- after he had first had a chance to call Senator Clinton and tell her his choice. Senator Obama's camp quickly got John's ass on to that stage. It was a brilliant play, all the way around.

best spot for Edwards' endorsement. Nice job, Barack.

5. The Clinton campaign was once again out-maneuvered, out-strategized....
... and they lost the news cycle.

I am awestruck at every turn of this race, watching this magnificent Obama political team work their magic. These guys know what the hell they're doing, and it's damned refreshing to see that as a Democrat. If they can out-smart the Clintons, my friends, they are going to win the White House.

Brand Obama, a leader in the image war
By Alice Rawsthorn
Published: April 6, 2008

It doesn't matter where you stand politically, or what you think of them personally. Whether you prefer Barack Obama's policies to Hillary Clinton's. What you think of her electioneering tactics, or his pastor. Or if you'd dump them both for John McCain. When it comes to choosing the best-designed U.S. presidential candidate, there's only one contender - Obama.

Every element of his visual identity has been masterfully conceived and executed to depict Obama as perfect presidential material. "It really is a treat to see graphic design applied so well," said the typography designer, Jonathan Hoefler. "Visually he is on message at every turn. I can't think of many corporations that use design so intelligently."

snip

Axelrod has planned Obama's campaign on the Web 2.0 principle that we live in such a frenzied media landscape that old-fashioned static symbols blend into the background, and we only respond to imagery that seems to be directed at us personally.

16. That piece is a little bit shallow...
... but people will be deconstructing and analyzing and trying desperately to explain the Obama campaign for generations to come, so it's entirely fair. And a little bit interesting!

 rosebud!!

18. Being a designer web 2.0 type though I find it very interesting...
Visually McCain is going to contrast poorly when viewed in the context of Obama.
