Portland Tribune OR Poll: Obama 55, Clinton 35
Edited on Tue May-13-08 11:05 AM by hnmnf
Poll shows Obama with wide lead over Clinton among Oregon Democrats
by The Oregonian
Tuesday May 13, 2008, 6:20 AM
A poll conducted May 8 to 10 by Davis, Hibbitts & Midghall shows Barack Obama with a 55 to 35 lead over Hillary Clinton.

The Portland Tribune/KPTV News 12 poll found that Obama leads even among women voters, thought to be Clinton's strength, said Tim Hibbitts. The poll queried 400 motivated Democratic voters. It has a margin of error of 4.8 percent.

"Barring a disaster, Barack Obama's going to win Oregon, and he may win it very big," Hibbitts said.

2. Great! I think it will eventually be 62-38 for Obama in Oregon
So if 800,000 people vote in the primary--that would be almost a 200,000 vote majority for Obama.

8. Well that isn't going to stop her
Big win in Oregon all popular vote gained by KY and WV are erased and we get to hear how no President has won without the support of Puerto Rico.

14. I sent my ballot in the day I got it....
Hopefully the Oregon contest will nail it for him. It is going to be an overwhelming victory for him here.

Urge your state to conduct mail in ballots.....it is THE BEST...:)

20. I have seen tons of Obama stickers/signs in the Portland metro area and only one Hillary bumper
sticker.

Of course in Portland Obama is favored, but in the surrounding areas I was surprised.

My mom lives in West Linn, and I was shocked at how many Obama signs I saw there...it is a pretty Republican area.

23. So, if I poll my friends and neighbors and come up with a double digit lead for Obama
you'll accept that?? Look, we all know he's going to win OR, but we don't need to be quoting flimsy polls to get that idea across. Makes us look like the Desperate One. :)
