Researchers - HELP - re the $87 billion Kerry voted for before he voted

against it AND what did the Repubs vote against before they voted for the $87 billion? What was Chimpy threatening to veto and how could we frame that against him?

What exactly were the specifics of what Kerry voted for that * and the Repubs didn't want and how can we use that against them?

I'm not a lazy ass but I don't have time right now (3 small hungry, grumpy kids) and I'm not as experienced as some people here are at finding info. Some of you are regular Internet studs but I don't even know how to post a link to an article (I've been to embarrassed to ask).

I thought it was about not dumping the cost of this off on our children and grandchildren - seems responsible.

I thought it was also about keeping an eye on what this admin. was doing with the $, that has proven to be necessary because they have "misplaced" millions or billions of $ over in Iraq.

Kerry is getting beaten over the head with this and there must be a better way to answer the question.

Kerry was referring to a measure he co-sponsored that would have provided the $87 billion while also temporarily reversing Bush's tax cuts for those making $400,000 a year or more. That measure was rejected  57-42.

5. Wouldn't it be great if JK would put this to rest?

I mean, how many thousands of hours have been spent by JK supporters trying to refute this at the grass-roots level?

I was hoping some of the smears would be wrapped up and sent to the trash bin as a result of the DNC. Maybe the JK truth squad will do it at the end of this month, during the repug orgy of self-love.

But Jeez, it does feel like time is slipping away. :(
