Cindy McCain Says Campaign Will not be Negative, but...
http://www.politicallore.com/election-2008/cindy-mccain-says-campaign-will-not-be-negative-but/282

Reddit, and Rec if you liked :)

"Cindy McCain has vivid memories of what negative campaigning did to her family back in the 2000 Presidential race and recently, in and interview on the Today Show, she stated that McCain would not employ any negative tactics in this campaign, no matter if his opponent is Obama or Clinton."...

You should read the rest.

4. Even if not perfect in execution...
...it would be an interesting social experiment if the candidates actually TRIED to hew to a "positive" line. Hell, I'm sure more than a few independent groups will do lots of mud slinging. But the candidates themselves, by this I mean Obama and McCain, could try and it could either be the best debate on issues we've had in generations, or it could be a vast yawner of an election season. But I would like to see them try.
