What could possibly be there to argue about?

1. But who will protect us from the Limbaugh-instigated riots in the
streets outside?

But they're all filled with multiracial, multiethnic, laughing, beautiful Italian families.

10. Good proposal.
I won't know if I'm a national delegate until after two more conventions in my state however. But if I'm elected to the National Convention, I'll take you up on it.

has a nice boxing ring. The Clinton vs Obama disagreements could be settled in a civilized manner.

14. Rock Bottom
Edited on Sat May-10-08 09:50 AM by Ichingcarpenter
The Brewery makes a decent beer and the name
is very apropos to GDP

Rock Bottom
1001 16th Street
ph: 303-534-7616

Rock Bottom has one of its largest and best brewpubs right on the pedestrian shopping area along central 16th Street. The food at Rock Bottom is quite amazing with salmon, pizzas, and smoked chicken enchiladas being some of my favorites. When I last visited, their beer list included a Weizen, Saison, Rocktoberfest, Stout, India Pale Ale, and Brown Ale. Sample their cask ales (conditioned and carbonated naturally inside small kegs) and enjoy a game of pool in the poolroom bar.

There are better places nearby but I like the name.

16. As a 5th generation Coloradan...and a 4th gen Denverite...
There are many better places here than a corporate chain like Olive Garden for a meetup. The idea of a meetup is great. But perhaps you should choose something that is unique to Denver.

Say Mayor Hickenloopers bar, The Wynkoop Brewery, that has amazing homemade beers, great food, THE best pool tables in Denver (full size...balls have to be rented) and is in the middle of LoDo (lower downtown...our entertainment district next to Coors Field) and a walk from the Convention Center and The Pepsi Center.

Or if you want to get real wacky...and the meetup is more important than good food...go to Casa Bonita...the restaurant that is so ridiculously over the top...you can't help but giggle and say, "This place is ridiculous".

But Olive Garden is a suburban restaurant devoid of anything that would be worthy of a group of a fine dems and their meetup.

Love the idea of a meetup. Don't like the idea of Wynkoops.

PS...I am the stage manager at a large concert venue (The Fillmore Auditorium) just a couple of minutes away from downtown. I don't know what we rent for...but I can tell you we're one of the top 5 venues at our size in the nation for ticket sales...and though we only provide the space (you'd have to work out food arrangements though we have bars), we are a beautiful venue.

17. I suggested Rock Bottom, I know all the places you mentioned
Rock Bottom is on the 16th Street Mall which is easly accessible
and the name fits GDP

I lived in Congress Park for many years near the BlueBird Theater.
Casa Bonita is a must see, though there are better Mexican Eats to be found..

18. That would be pretty neat idea.. bring some vendors in and charge a cover
for the rental.. then there would be a large space.. Maybe if Obama has some moolah left over, he can help spring for a nearby supporters hall.. Instead of swarming the streets and allowing a Limpball supporter starting shit.
