McCain Says He Did Vote For George W. Bush
ABC News' Jan Simmonds and Jennifer Parker report: Heightening a he-said she-said brouhaha, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., today disputed liberal blogger Arianna Huffington's assertion that the presumptive Republican nominee voted against George W. Bush during the 2000 election.

"It's nonsense," said McCain, whose campaign has suggested Huffington made up the story to promote her new book. Huffington, a former Republican, supports the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.

In a blog posting on her Huffington Post website, Huffington said that she and the McCains attended a dinner party after the 2000 election at the home of actress Candice Bergen where she heard McCain say he did not vote for Bush.

Huffington said McCain's wife, Cindy, told her personally she wrote in her husband's name on the ballot in the 2000 election. In her blog post, Huffington criticized McCain for abandoning his principles now that he's running for the White House.

Come on, who would vote for someone who blasted him the way Bush did? A whipped dog I guess. Why is he telling such a bold faced lie?

4. It's funny but the more you get to know McCain the more it becomes apparent
that he is not as honest and principled as he appeared from a distance

5. Why tell such a bold faced lie? I'm guessing he's warming up for the fall.
If you're impressed by this little white unverifiable, just wait till October. You'll be swooning.

6. Well, he did tell the actors he didn't vote for Bush, but only after they tortured him
by refusing to serve him any more wine until he talked.

10. HE IS SUCH A STUPID FUCKING LIAR
Edited on Fri May-09-08 04:42 PM by redstate_democrat
He DID say he didn't vote for Bush. Fucking hypocritical LIAR.

But this works well for Dems either way. Either he recognized back then that Bush was and is a tool and didn't vote for him. Good for us b/c it supports what we've been saying all along. Or, he is the human equivalent of Bush's musty jock strap and did vote for him, which means he thinks Bush is wonderful! This supports what we'll be saying this summer and fall. McCain is Bush's musty jock strap. He more Bush-like than Bush, without the "down home cowboy" imagery that helped Bush win the low information voters. McCain has the charisma of a celery stalk. He is a frighteningly unattractive, short, dimwitted, and morally bankrupt kiss ass. He has no advantange against Obama's charm, charisma, intelligence, personality, attractiveness, creativity, passion, energy, ideas, and ability to simply MOVE people from one place to the next.

McCain is fucking TOAST. We will roast his senile ass on a spit over the fires of American disgust!

16. McCain abandoned his principles a *long* time before now.
I'm unable to identify any "principle" with which his work has been consistent, other than "money talks."
