11. Um, maybe SOME of that percentage is scared of the "Muslim" black man.
Take away the racist factor, and Hillary's lead would slip to about 15 percent.

I've lived various parts of West Virginia all my life. I know what drives them.

12. That percentage exists even here in the breeding ground of evil, Cambridge, Massachusetts... but out
of exhaustion/depression?, I have like zero ability to contemplate how stupid voters might be.

Hey, do you know any good WV Dem blog sites?
I found wvablue.com which appears to be awesome, but that's the only one.
Cheers!

13. I am talking about "Favorable/Unfavorable Opinion of Hillary Clinton." Said nothing about Obamas #s
72% have a favorable opinion of her.

About 20 points higher than the national average.

16. My bad. Well, WV has always been fond of the Clintons.
Edited on Fri May-09-08 11:57 PM by Blondiegrrl
Honestly, I don't know why. I would guess Southern appeal factors into it. West Virginians tend to be distrustful of Yankees.

22. I wish they would ask 'Obama's religion' on the exit polls
Everybody knows that some Americans still think it. I saw a poll about a month ago that put the figure at 11%. I think it's time that exit pollers grew some balls and started asking these kind of questions.

14. Lysistrata comes to mind
LYSISTRATA
So fine, it means just this, Greece saved by the women!

CLEONICE
By the women! Why, its salvation hangs on a poor thread then!

LYSISTRATA
Our country's fortunes depend on us-it is with us to undo utterly the Peloponnesians.

CLEONICE
That would be a noble deed truly!

LYSISTRATA
To exterminate the Boeotians to a man!

20. Hogwash
Less than 20% of the black vote will go for Hillary while 35% of the white vote
will go for Obama. So take your WV insults elsewhere.
