Why is CNN going on about the damned balloons?
A brilliant speech by Kerry and all CNN can do is cut to someone yelling about balloons. Then they spend another while talking about the "bad omen" of the balloons not dropping.

We are doomed if we let this continue.

5. It was his job to coordinate the balloons and confetti.
It was not CNN's job to put him on the air. I hope they get nailed by the FCC for airing profanity.

Just before that damned stupid rule is reversed, of course. :)

3. FNC too
Brit Hume and friends are saying the same thing and are very negative. That is good news- they can't think of what to say to refute what JK said tonight.

4. I just flipped to CNN
I just wanted to see what you were talking about. They are so negative. All they could say was - Let's get a repuke in here. This is a brilliant convention and they just want to try and spoil it. I am turning back to CSPAN

6. Blitzer just apologized for the word
"fuck", but he should have apologized for their entire coverage. I am more disgusted by this than any other so call reporting I've ever seen them do.

repuke bastards all.

7. Not to mention....
Throwing Gillespie's ugly mug on screen to rehash the same old tired RNC talking points.

CNN has crossed over Fox as the most RNC slanted news network.

9. Watch MXC
Fuck CNN, watch MXC instead. We can all judge for ourselves that Kerry is a far greater mind, and leader than Bush.

10. I think they did it on purpose
Why were they patched into the show producer. The tech people, lighting, stage managers etc would have been on intercom all night. Why did they choose to broadcast at that point.

11. absolutely on purpose
they stuck with that audio for minutes...curiously. Then right after the F-bomb is dropped they cut the audio feed. Obviously it was intentional.

13. CNN Was Hilarious - They Made Themselves Look Like Asses
Not in the least bit worried. Anyone that watched the speech then watched those knuckleheads will know they are a bunch of morons.

17. I missed that part!
I was watching at a house party and got up to talk to people wanting to volunteer to register voters. We were watching it on Cspan. I watched some with CNN and some cspan the last few days and decided cspan did it better. You actually see ALL the speakers not just the ones they think are important.

18. Did someone from the Convention actually say there was a problem,
It seemed to me that there was enough confetti and balloons, I saw a lot still up in the rafters, but thought they were dropping them in intervals so they would be raining down throughout the period after K's speech in which three whole songs played. Would be funny if someone came on tomorrow and explained that that was the plan and made CNN look even more stupid for making a big deal of it. How is a malfunction of "Balloon dropping equipment" a "bad omen" anyway?
