I'm beginning to think that Clinton is negotiating for a VP slot - Stephanopolous interview
And I think it's why she is staying in the race. I never would have believed this until I saw this interview: http://abcnews.go.com//Politics/story?id=4808341&page=1

I believe that Stephanopolous has the inside scoop on the Clintons and I don't believe he would have ever said this if he didn't know it to be true. I had mixed feelings about it before but now I think that we would win in a a tsunami if they team up.

I know that if my candidate (Obama) was on the verge of dropping out, I would feel better if he joined the ticket and had some kind of a voice.

Thoughts?

1. I would not mind this at all.
Especially when you consider the usual pattern is - the top of the ticket tries to be the Good Cop and the running mate is the attack dog. She's certainly proven she has THAT in her, and I would LOVE to see all of it unleashed on those who deserve it most: mcsame and his fellow republi-CON-jobbers.

4. Trust is a HUGE factor.
Not to mention the huge negatives she would bring to the ticket.

But I agree, I think Hillary wants to be VP.

5. She's clearly using her media toads to put that out there today
No doubt she's pushing for the VP big time, but she has no chance of being on the ticket. That option might have been available two months ago, but she's ripped it permanently with her terrible conduct the past two months.

6. No Way
She probably wants it but it would be a huge embarrassment to the party if he offered it to her.

8. forget it! Stephanopolouse is shilling for his master
Hillary will not bully her way onto this ticket.

She has lost and deserves no reward for her actions.

11. Has Any Clinton Surrogate Sugggested The Idea?
This is pure speculation unless some Clinton Surrogate at least floats the idea. Right now, no one who is affiliated with her campaign has gone on record and even discussed it as a possibility. If so, please link it.

16. I don't have any proof, it's speculation. But remember - Stephanopolous has a long history
with the Clintons and knows them quite well, that's why it made me stop and ponder. The line is fuzzy between "surrogate" and "well-versed old time friend".

13. You know I didn't really care for that ad where she said she and McCain were
the only ones capable of running the country. Something tells me Barack may remember it as well, and may not have cared for it either.

14. Her negotiating skills are in her ass.
I heard her DLC sycophant begging for that the other day, real shrewd
negotiators.

15. I think so too.
She's making her case that Obama can't win without her.

17. I actually don't think she wants the veep slot and I think she adds little to the ticket
This Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama crap is a media invention. There's no way she'll work for him and, at this point, would he work for her. And I don't think many of the respective supporters want it, either.

I think all she's jockeying for is her legacy, some debt relief, and maybe ..... *maybe* ..... Majority Leader. I don't think she gives much more than two shits about anything but herself.
