It just came to me that John should spend the first 10 minutes of his speech intertwining all the RW-talking-points about him and deliver it as though he were serious. Pause. And then ask, "now does any of that sound remotely sane?". That would blunt the repukes, IMO.

And he was absolutely right! His new shorter haircut is really flattering. I have sent a more recent photo to the networks--they use an unflattering one with his old cut--but they have not used it, so far.
