HRC Supporters ... Please explain why you believe that she has
a much better chance of defeating McCain in the GE than Obama would. Everyone thought she would handily walk away with the nomination only to see her forced to fight tooth and nail for it while support for her slowly erodes away.

Why do people think that she has a better chance against McCain than Obama would? McCain does not present much of a challenge to begin with. The man is old, does not have much support from his own party, and can be easily attacked on so many different levels (Rev. Hagey, Republican flip-flopper, won't vote for bills that he sponsored, etc.).

The only problem that I see Obama having in a run against McCain would be Obama's reluctance to use down and dirty campaign tactics against McCain. But with the campaign team Obama has assembled I can't imagine McCain being anything more than a bump in the road to the Presidency. HRC's campaign staff, on the other hand, I could see having a more difficult time if she were to run against McCain.

So ... what have I been missing???

1. To start off I am not a supporter of either one, I think both
are about the worst choices we could make. I don't know if Clinton has any better chance of defeating McCain than Obama either. What I see with Obama is he has proved he can win in states with a high percentage of African American voters. For instance I heard in NC 38% of Democrats are AA and 92% voted for him, how could you lose if you get that majority of such a large voting block? Not to start flames here but Bill Clinton said that Jesse Jackson carried NC didn't he? Now in the GE as a rule Democrats carry probably 92% of the AA vote anyway so Obama will not get any more benefit from the AA vote than any other Democratic candidate ever has. Then you take the other states he won many with a almost totally white population sounds impressive but those states will go Republican just like always in my opinion.
