She's not going down without taking someone with her.

I really don't think she'd mind at all if the Democrats splintered over something like this--it may give her an opening to regain some power since she can't take the top prize.

7. No
she hasn't done any scorched earth politicking. She's simply run against your guy.

The only scorched-earth politicking I've seen is done by Obama supporters here and in other places on the net. You guys have made it your mission not to defeat Clinton, but to destroy her. You're going to have a difficult time convincing a lot of Clinton supporters to join with you after you've spent months trying to destroy her and attacking us simply for supporting her.

4. I fear she will use what relevance she has left to try and take down a very effective DNC chairman.
I can see how some may not be as big Howard Dean fans as I am, so it may not be as big a concern as it is to me.

I'm seeing what looks to me to be a pretty orchestrated push by Hillary's surrogates to pin her loss on Dean, and to try and punish him for denying her the throne.

5. Dead issue. We can seat them and it won't hurt Obama.
She can't overcome his lead in pledged delegates even with Michigan and Florida, and it's unlikely she'll overcome him in popular vote. Maybe if you gave him 0 votes for Michigan she'd have a slim chance, but it's hard to argue that that's representative of the will of the people of Michigan. I know a few Michiganders who wanted to vote for Obama who would not be represented if you gave him 0 votes.

6. her 15 minutes have limped into 35 minutes, but she's just about done
I suspect she will be given a chance to get behind Obama, and if she does, good things will happen for her. If she doesn't, she'll be drowning in campaign debt and largely cut off from power in the party.

The party is going to close ranks behind Obama, even many of her formerly ardent supporters among superdelegates. They are all politicians, and they will not fall on their political swords to fulfill Hillary's royal needs. Within a few months, Team Hillary will be down to her senate staff and a couple of staffers, struggling to get campaign debts paid. There will be fundraisers, but it won't be the fanfare and spiel she has come to love about running for president. It will be senator Clinton trying to put the bite on people she has already hit up at least once before.
