Holy cow! Tweety just impressed me!
Just now, going to commercial, something like "when we return, the role that race played....ugh...can't we just skip it this once? Well, I guess that's what we do these days...."

I've never particularly liked the guy, but he just earned a couple points in my book.

12. He was saying that as long as there's a flap --like Wright --
that the media is going to cover it instead of John McCain's problems (as we've definitely seen as of late). Did you hear Russert say they get deluged with e-mails complaining about the coverage?

They acknowledged that once we get a nom, they'll turn their focus to McCain, too --

5. Yup. I thought it was a great moment of candor for him.
Matthews is NOT evil incarnate; he has his good moments, too.

8. No surprise there at all. In fact, he and I shared a favorite senatorial candidate in MD's primary.
Kweisi Mfume. The day after the primary, when Ben Cardin won the nomination (***that*** was a race with a true embarrassment of riches), Matthews had Mfume on as a guest. He fawned all over him and confessed to having voted for him the day before.

10. Why do you act as if Matthews does not hate Clinton?
You pretend to be soo shocked that Matthews will say Clinton is a racist. Have you ever watched Hardball?

11. yeah, good for him but did you hear him earlier when he slipped and said....
about Hillary conceding and then getting ready to run against McCain in the next election? Why does he think that McCain will be the President? He stopped short in his tracks right after he said it like he "goofed up" and then there was a second of silence and then they continued on. But, it was SOOOOO obvious? I didn't have a third post to discuss it there so better here than nowhere.

It was as thought he knew some grand MSM game plan.....

15. I heard that...
I wonder if it was in response to what Obama said in his speech. I think he mentioned the media, and the politics of division. And boy, oh boy, the media has been playing the politics of division for all it's worth. And they know damn well what they've been doing. Just like lying us into war in Iraq. I hate the 'media'
