Poll question: Should poll results be held until all polls are closed?
Since today we have 2 primaries with 3 different ending times(2 in the same state), i thought id raise the question....

Should poll results be held until all polls are closed in an election?

2. I replied yes, but I believe I need to qualify this
by saying that it is important that we can verify the accuracy of the results. Not sure how this would be done in a tamper-proof way...but that's my two cents.

3. The Only Time I Didn't Vote
I was standing in line along with many voters in western state of Colorado, it was at a hotel/bar - CBS News was on and Dan Rather said CBS News has projected Ronald Regan has won in landslide POTUS. I walked away in disgust and so did many others. Our other state wide elections suffered big time - so no, let people vote until the polls close.

I was young then, would never do that again.

5. I agree, especially now when they start declaring states with
only ridiculously low percentage returns. "With 1% of the precincts in, BS News is predicting..."

4. Being in California sucks for voting, particularly for the GE.
By the time I get off work at 5 to vote it's possible that we've already learned who is going to be president.

8. Make that a HELL YEAH!
The media's lust to be the first to report some numbers should NOT supercede the need to have a fair voting procedure (one not tainted by people still standing in line, knowing how the results are going).

9. West coasters lose interest
It's cool that we don't have to stay up till midnight to watch our sports, but for the GE it's a major drag.
