Stuff like the GAS TAX HOLIDAY joke is the reason I switched to Obama.......
I mean I want to END politics as usual!!!

McSame and Hillary are acting like old school politicians and saying something that make no sense just to lure in stupid voters.

Obama is smart enough to know it means nothing, it is just pandering for votes.

35 years in washington has ruined MsSame and Hillary. That is why we NEED Obama.

1. Hey KansasVoter...I agree with you
Hillary jumped on McCains bandwagon and acts like it's a good idea.

Obama has stated clearly why it is a bad idea.

Whoever is advising Hillary should hang up their advisory shoes and go away. Continuous Blunders....

She's still paying him the big bucks, last time I looked.

4. with a well reasoned, future thinking solution
instead of knee-jerk, let's just get through the next election politics. It's a difficult situation and taking off 18 cents becomes more and more of a joke as gas approaches $4 and $5 next summer. The sooner we start on a real solution, the better off we will all be.

15. Message: "I care"
Obama, 46, was telling a group of senior citizens in Columbia City, Indiana, about how suspending the federal gasoline tax for the summer was nothing more than a short-term solution to a long-term problem. A hand went up.

``A lot of us are nothing but short-termers,'' a woman told him, drawing laughs from the candidate and the crowd.

A lot of people are frightened NOW, not just the elderly.

Obama just wants them to wait till he appoints a study group?

23. His base is kids with bikes and cities with good public transit, so it may be under his radar
But cities are feeling the pinch trying to fuel school buses and garbage trucks, and municipal taxes will go up. It'll get there.

5. The problem with that question is that Hillary and McCain propose nothing
that will be enacted. In otherwords, they propose nothing.

That's why it is a pander. It is just talk.

Obama suggested a 15 Billion windfall profit tax billed to the oil companies.

9. Do you have an answer from Hillary on that question?
Or do you expect that 30 cents a day over the summer will fix the food budget problem?

Let's ask Hillary that, tomorrow morning, in time for the primary, ok?

12. have McCain-Clinton introduced this plan? have they gotten co-sponsors? do they have Bush lined up?
so he won't veto it? They want it starting Memorial Day-Labor Day so they better get busy on it instead of yacking about it in speeches. When do they want it to go into effect the summer of 2009?Sounds like they are all talk and no action.

14. Obama already called for a windfall profits tax, with numbers and everything. He did that
right after McCain called for the gas tax holiday joke, and before Sen Clinton piggy backed onto McCain's lame idea.

The only way to lower gas prices is to cut consumption.

Oh, and not voting to go to war would have really helped keep the price down. McCain and Hillary should admit their responsibility in raising the price of gas.

Also, every time their is saber rattling toward Iran, the price goes up also, because a war there would of course cause prices to raise very quickly since Iran would stop shipping oil.

Again Sens. Clinton and McCain should admit their rolls in that.

If you go to the Obama web site you can read his plans for energy. It's pretty good.

We can help him make it even better once he wins. After all, that's the whole point of grassroots politics. And he will owe us a spot at the table, something we will never get with Clinton/McCain.

Whoops, I forgot, taxes pay for stuff like the war!

22. The real problem with McCain and Hillary's proposal...it doesn't
stop the Oil companies from raising the cost of fuel by the 18 or so cents that the gas tax would save for Americans.

This is a short term knee jerk reaction it's not a solution.

13. Obama, although very human, and not perfect comes close to
America's one straight talking, straight thinking, (and gay/lesbian trans gendered friendly) Messiah for 2008.

Bosnia lies (repeated three times in public on camera) were not enough to turn off those Hillary supporters, THIS pandering with an impossible plan for 30 cents a day to average consumers........this just takes the cake, what a FRAUD Hillary is, not a national leader, but a total FRAUD, pandering for votes (from the less than capable of thinking critically Dems) regardless of the hollowness of her words. First a lie, now an impossible to fulfill promise... Hillary is full of it, and people are waking up to that.

FRAUDULENCE, SNAKE OIL, LIES. That's our Hillary!

This kind of thing is why I supported Obama over Hillary from the beginning. This gas tax situation is the best illustration of why Obama is the best candidate in this primary and the general election.
