Rush Limbaugh, Contrielpro, the Denver Convention, Operation Chaos
and of course recreate1968.org

Why is this important for the Politics side of the board? Well I have posted in the past that this election has been highly manipulated and the candidates that truly scared the powers that be were removed, early on. It was done skillfully and many partisans don't even realize how skillfully it was done. I guess silly season has truly blinded partisans.

Anyhow, today Malloy played Rush essentially inciting riots during the Convention. In case any of you youn'ins wonder about this (and I am among you but know the history), this is exactly what the Chicago Seven were convicted off, inciting a riot.

Now, I'd like all of you to step back for a second from the rancor of this campaign, which truly plays into grandpa's hands, and ask why?

Once you do that... the answers are quite uncomfortable... and knowledge is important here, as well as understanding. If we do have a riot in Denver (or for that matter at the REPUBLICAN CONVENTION) there are a series of President Executive Orders that could come into place, and they include martial law. Is this dramatic? Absolutely... but I have argued in the past that silly season this year is truly window dressing... and I truly hope a convention so quiet, it will put to shame a Carmelite Convent under SILENT rules... why? The worst mistake we can make is play into Rush's hands or others who NEED civil unrest.

For the moment Operation Chaos raises questions... not that this kind of strategic voting is not done in other countries... but it still raises questions.

Now go back to your scheduled fur fight. I just thought this was important enough to waste one of my three daily posts, and lord knows I try to avoid this board. But perhaps this reality check will bring some of you back from silly season and make you realize that there is more to this than just who gets to play smacking ball to manipulated elections by the media and others.

1. Fuck Limbaugh, check Recreate68. They are the reason Rush has this rant.
Edited on Sat May-03-08 12:52 AM by seriousstan
They had detailed plans out months ago about what they were planning to do. I learned about it here at the DU. The number of other "disrupter" groups have grown in the last 4 months and appears to have some interlinkage.

16. I am talking about the the anarchist riots during the IMF. These are the same people.
There is nothing nefarious about a protest that is publicly acknowledged and organized.

18. One term comes to mind: PATSIE
Once again, back then we didn't have executive orders allowing for martial law

We do today

A whole different environment

And .... those who don't know history are condemned to repeat it... what do you think Contrielpro did back then?

They used EXISTING groups to advance their goals.

Same shit, different decade.

4. Convention attendees (and security) should assume these are plants
Anyone remotely attempting to disrupt the Democratic Convention should be assumed to be an agent provocateur, and dealt with accordingly.

Convention disruptors are not, I repeat ARE NOT, legitimate political dissidents.

12. CORRECT
and the convention, when it comes to events OUTSIDE the halls, should be so quiet it will make a carmelite convent envious with that discipline

I wonder if any delegates will be warned

6. There is more to Rush
His slimy tripe is not something that just popped in his head on air. The millions spent to keep the mind control on the Dittards and plant ideas into th public are often think tanked, tested and heavily backed by monied psychos that use Rush to get shit done. THERE will be a riot in Denver. No doubt there is money, expertise and plants all coordinated to incite or fabricate an incidence. No matter how big or small it will be trumpeted as Rush induced and cited as illustrious of Dem crazies. There is more to this than Rush's ego coming out his pie hole. Not to mention the Dittowankers who will take it upon themselves to cause mischief.

13. Executive orders come to mind
as well as martial law and suspension of the show, perhaps permanently

That is why we need to avoid any riot, at any cost

7. You're on to something.
It did happen very quickly. The powers that be jumped into action, labeled Kucinich as a kook, left Gravel in dust, and also got rid of Biden, Dodd, Richardson, etc.

The plan was to have it all be over by Super Tuesday - Hillary so far ahead that nobody could possibly catch up. Except something happened.

They missed one.

Now do you see how things are? The mainstream media's completely off its rocker. Hillary's continued refusal to bow out. The Wright pastorbation.

They were counting on Hillary to do a clean sweep, but the grassroots campaigning took hold and caught them off guard.

They tried several different ways of eliminating Obama from the race, but there's one huge problem.

Obama may not be perfect. He stammers a bit when in interviews and debates. I don't always agree with him on all the issues. But unlike McCain and unlike Hillary Clinton, and unlike 90% of the politicans in the beltway, Obama's an honest man.

It's his honesty that makes him dangerous to the assholes in power - if he becomes President, the right wing doesn't just risk losing power, or losing face or losing money, they're going to fucking prison.

He's lived an honest life, so the usual smears and lies and trashing that can be used against uncooperative sociopaths don't work on him. Most of us realize that yeah, he occasionally screws up, but they aren't accepting the attacks on him. Rev. Wright and Ayers and all the other attacks just aren't doing serious damage to him.

That's why we're seeing all the Obama attacks.

14. I will disagree about Obama being an honest politico
he is a corporatist as well.

But yes, they have tried to ram one candidate down our throat since 2006

But Obama not part of the machine... not really

And I don't expect the Dems to have a clean victory regardless of who wins...

Yes, I am that cynical by now, but if they get their riot, kiss this show good bye

15. Rhandi Rhodes calls Hillary a Whore and is taken off the air...
after a week of anguish and angst. Rush shops for doctors and gets a pat on the wrist. He gets his house keeper to buy him 2000 oxycontin a month and doesn't even get charged. He violates his probation and is given a pass. Rush calls for massive voter fraud in Ohio and no charges are made. Then he publicly incites riots. They could stack the dead up like cordwood and burn every building in Denver and nothing will happen.

Nothing will happen. Nothing at all. Rush Limbaugh is the Right Wings Tokyo Rose and he is above the law.

17. Actually something will happen, but not to Rush, but to us
Martial Law, enactment of Executive Orders and this abortion of a primary and federal election will be over

If people think things are bad right now... watch out

And Rush will be the great hero of the Republic of Gilead, for as long as he is useful

(Handmaiden's Tale for those missing the reference)

Yes, yes, I know it is a worst case scenario, but as it is pointed out in the Shock Doctrine, the first step to resistance is knowledge... once knowledge is present.... the TACTICS become that much harder to implement

19. Randi's suspension had nothing to do with the 'whore' thing
Her contract had just expired, and the two sides were at an impasse in negotiations. She said so herself. If she wasn't 'suspended,' it would have merely been labeled a 'vacation' until the two sides agreed on a new contract. Randi didn't like the fact that AAR wanted to take away the 'no-fire' clause in the contract. Thanks to the terms of her original deal, she became a free agent when it expired, and there wasn't any 'no-compete' clause prohibiting her from jumping immediately to a rival.

AAR, allegedly, was the one who spread word of the video, in order to evaluate how it would go over with the public. The whole 'suspension' thing was a ruse.

20. My solution to Rush's calling for riots?
Edited on Sat May-03-08 03:02 AM by Fighting Irish
I say we bring the riots to his house!

http://ltradio.blogspot.com/2008/05/rambling-about-rush...

...Since Limbaugh was calling for a massive assault on Denver, I thought it would be cool to bring the party to his house. I call it "Operation Hog Roast." We'd descend on Palm Beach, FL, set up tents in his front yard, leave beer cans all over, piss in his bushes, fornicate in the flower beds, score pills behind the local Denny's and go four-wheeling on his favorite golf course. The kicker would be very appropriate - we'd cap it off a massive pig roast! At a fat pig's house! Now, that sounds pretty cool, huh? Of course, seeing as he's more shut off from the world in his mansion fortress than Howard Hughes ever was, he probably wouldn't even notice all the chaos on his front lawn. Still, sounds like a heck of a party!
