The Superdelegates Are Paying Close Attenton to Hillary's Gas Tax Pander
The "You are with us or against us" line isn't going to sit well with many of her colleagues in Congress.

If this is any indication of how the Hillary Clinton administration is going to govern, then it means another 4-8 years of bamboozling like Bush.:grr:

29. Super Delegate Rep. Mark Udall in Colorado angry reaction to McClinton proposal
And Udall is a super delegate

"Senator Clinton claimed yesterday that I either stand with her on this proposal or stand with the oil companies. To that I say: I stand with the families of Colorado, who aren't looking for bumper sticker fixes that don't fix anything, but for meaningful change that brings real relief and a new direction for our energy policy. We can't afford more Washington-style pandering while families keep getting squeezed.

"It is exactly the kind of short-sighted Washington game that keeps us from getting real results to our energy problem."

I guess she's throwing them under the bus.

Obama's best friend is her attitude towards the Party as a whole.

Let her rave. Time will show the Queens madness, indeed.

or perhaps using the herculean strong arm tactics, putting their jobs at risk if they don't do what she says. But even if they vote for it, hasn't she stopped to think that it won't necessarily mean that they'd HAVE to vote for her as superdelegates, and the arm twisting may very well turn them away.

Clinton to Congress: You’re either with us or against us
Posted: 06:30 PM ET
JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana (CNN) – After several days of back and forth between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama over whether a summer-long elimination of the gas tax would help or hurt, Clinton took a hard line, asking her colleagues in Congress to take sides.

“I believe it would be important to get every member of Congress on record,” Clinton told supporters at a rally in southern Indiana. “Do they stand with the hard-pressed Americans who are trying to pay their gas bills at the gas station or do they once again stand with the oil companies?

“I want to know where people stand and I want them to tell us, are they with us or against us when it comes to taking on the oil companies?” she added.

The “with us or against us” line wasn’t the only George W. Bush reference Thursday evening. Telling a story about Republicans crossing party lines and whispering their support to her, Clinton said, “It’s kind of like a little bit of a confessional when somebody comes and says, ‘You know I voted for George Bush, and I’m really sorry.’”

21. Slick hilly...reminds me of the time she
told Obama to meet her Ohio and they'd talk about his behavior in this campaign.

It's funny with hilary 'cause there's a word I cannot use to describe on DU but I'm wondering how many SuperDees are thinking the same and sayin' "no way is she gettin' near that throne.

And the time she squatted up on stage in that red dress waving flyers in her hand ..raging at Obama..and then there was the time she mocked Obama supporters with "choir and angels out of the sky" schtick. How's that workin' out for ya, hilary?

20. 'No, we won't help you because it's bad theory' is a losing reason for doing nothing
It's a small, symbolic gesture of empathy that doesn't meet the theorists' standards. So Congress does nothing about our pinched budgets.

Why aren't the so-called "experts" coming up with ways to help us that are acceptable to them?

Because they're not feeling squeezed yet? How lovely for them.

26. The stupidest thing about that gas tax "holiday" is that it would end...
two months before the general election. Just enough time for people to realize that it didn't do shit for them and take it out on the candidates.

They have to realize this, just further proof that this is primary pander bullshit.

27. IT's all a crock
And anyone with any sense knows it. What everyone seems to be missing is that even if she got a windfall tax passed along with a gas holiday, there is no way in hell Bush would NOT veto a bill that taxes the oil companies, no way, no who! Clinton knows it and so do the SD's. It's just another cheap trick get votes.
