A Republican running for Bud Cramer's seat named Cheryl Baswell-Guthrie has an ad currently running on TV that trashes Obama. She sets up Obama as being an elitist who's against the gun-toting Christians of Alabama. Then she says she disagrees with him and thinks Obama is wrong. She must have taken a page from the North Carolina Republican's playbook.
This is going to be all over the South between now and November. I wonder how effective for the Republicans it will be? This is pure racism, whether anyone cares to admit it or not. It is the new version of "The Southern Strategy"...
