Aaron Brown CNN segment re possible turnover of Osama
Anyone catch Aaron Brown's segment last night about possible attempts by Bush officials to get the Pakistani government to turn over Osama either in time for the Democratic convention or by October at the latest? Person interviewed did not divulge sources so I'm wondering about the credibility of it all. Wouldn't surprise me however.

1. wouldn't be surprised
this has been mentioned before that either OBL would be suddenly captured or a terrattack

bush*'s numbers are probably worse than the "public" polls show and he's going to need some grandstand-codpiece stunt to help give him a bump

2. Funny, brown was the same ass on CNN which had a breaking news
that the pakistanis were very close to capturing a very important al queada or taleban leader

turned out to be nothing, but a lot of casulties on both sides

3. The New Republic
I'm not certain, but I believe the story will be published in the New Republic today.

If I remember correctly, Aaron Brown stated that this may be a huge story.

4. I've been saying for awhile now
That I completely believe that the Bush administration will pull Osama out of a hole right before the election. Who wouldn't put it past these guys?

5. Might be a great reason for our guys to hammer on the economy
so catching OBL would be "yeah, so what took you so long, the ecomony is still in the dumper."

8. It was chilling. Suggested capture should come during Dems Convention!
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 07:16 AM by flpoljunkie
The sources were four Pakistani intelligence service agents who, of course, did not want their names used. Peter Beinart also said that the administration wanted either Osama bin Laden, Mullah Omar, or Al-Zawahari captured during the Democratic National Convention.

Beinhart mentioned that George Tenet had been there pressing the ISI among others connected to the Bush administration, including Colin Powell from the State Department.

It is on CNN's America Morning, as I write. Surprise, the Bush administratin denies the allegation, says it is just simply not true.

9. Probably a good time to research
...what freezer burn looks like on people. :eyes:

Of course, I don't trust Brown any farther than I can throw him any more, but heck. I've given up thinking this administration has limits to what it's capable of.
