Obama supporters, good news from Rasmussen today
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Obama leads McCain for only the second time in the past 6 weeks, and his favorable is now higher than unfavorable (51-47), a change from last week. McCain's favorables are also down to 51-45, the lowest it's been in a while.

Not sure what triggered this...could just be an unusually pro-Obama sample last night...hopefully the lead over McCain will hold, and expand to become statistically significant.

Just thought we could use something to cheer us up right now.

1. Obama's numbers are going up, because some of Hillary's slime
is dripping off of him.

3. What's been consistant is McSame hasn't gotten double digits on Obama or HRC even with negative ...
...campaigning of HRC.

This is important IMHO and the reason they're floating Wright in NC.

If Wright doesn't work they'll float war with Iran, Petreaus set to take over Cent Com

4. A lot of the late coverage out of Pennsylvania was positive and helped Obama and Hillary
Hillary's only 2 points behind McCain, so she's gained a lot of ground as well. But, this lead is very narrow.

Remember, Obama's only up by 2, and being up by that narrow margin is not really being "ahead".

The race is a statistical dead heat now for McCain/Obama and McCain/Hillary. The bleeding had to stop at some point, and nonstop coverage of Hillary/Obama on the stump, giving speeches and campaigning overtook the bad news.

Add to that McCain being invisible in the past 10 days, his numbers have stagnated. I've barely seen him on TV newscasts; he isn't getting any coverage to speak of right now, and its hurting him.

7. Yeah, but it's the first time in a while he hasn't been behind
Plus, even a lead within the margin of error means you're somewhat more likely to be ahead. The MOE here is 3 points, and Obama leads McCain 47-45. So that means Obama's support could be as high as 50 or as low as 44, and McCain could be as high as 48 or as low as 42. So Obama is more likely to be ahead than behind if the poll shows him leading by 2.

6. Time for Billary to slap is a@# down a peg or two
"Obama defiles nature"
"As a child Barack could not wait and ran out of sight and proceeded to actually urinate on a tree"

Or some other highly important issue that we cannot live without.

9. Good, because he needs one going into the election
As much as I hate to admit it, I think Robert Novak might be onto something when he talks about the Bradley effect. I talked to someone in Philly the other day who I thought I had convinced to vote for Obama after 15 minutes, but when I asked if I could count on him to go vote for him, the guy said he just couldn't bring himself to vote for a black man (though he insisted he was not racist). It was a bit of a shell-shock for me, having only witnessed overt racism like that one other time in my life (from my 80-something-year-old great grandfather before he died). This guy in Philly was not that much older than me (30 at most), and it really made me wonder if I have overestimated the American people in terms of our readiness to move beyond racial divisions.

10. I think we are ready. And because the Repugs are only putting forward McCain
4-8 years of Obama will help quell alot of the final traces of racism and discrimination in this country.

I think that is what is going to happen. Obama is going to win.
