1. Good post and if I were the Hillary supporters, that would give cause to be...
deeply concerned about the remaining contests.

4. Even six weeks ago several polls had her with a 20-point plus lead
yes, he closed the gap. She was well known, had visited often as First Lady. Has, apparently, some family ties in Scranton? so she was always expected to win. Obama made a great effort and closed the gap and kept her under 10-points.

7. Yup. And she "was raised" in Scranton, her father (or grandfather?) taught her how to
shoot :eyes: in back of their cottage, they have decades of political connections in PA, etc.

8. on the national polls her support as a % has not been going up
I know national polls aren't that meaningful, but it looks to me like she had a certain % name recognition and support, and it pretty much stayed there. Doesn't look like she picked up from the other candidates dropping out.

9. Hillary has not built on her support.
The SD's should take notice of that. Where she is now is her high water mark. It just doesn't get better with a well-known Clinton. She has a LOT of the voting public motivated against her because her name is Clinton.

10. and look at this
If you take those numbers from then, 42-13-12-8. That's 75.

If you give them the same %'s, but make them add up to 100, that's hillary at 56.

So she lost 1.5% of her suuport since then.

Thanks for posting. K&R.

He cut an amazing lead in another of her family's states. And remember, she was born in Illinois and she lost that state to its junior Senator. Hrmph!

23. The young lady who just sold me my newspaper at a convenience store (here in PA) was sad about Obama
and his loss in PA (she was excited about voting for him) ... and I reminded her that Barack cut Hillary's lead in half in the last, what, couple of months? That's pretty significant, I reminded her.

30. I want to bring something up that I think has been overlooked.
Am I not correct in remembering that Hillary Clinton is from Illinois? That is, before she was from Arkansas and before she was from New York, and oh, by the way, before she was "from" Pennsylvania.

Didn't Obama win Illinois with a freakin' huge edge - no consideration at all for the truly hometown girl who was born and raised in Illinois? Obama lives in Illinois, represents Illinois in the Senate, but he is not a homestate boy.

Any candidate that cannot seal the deal in their own homestate surely is not strong enough to win in the general election.
