There's still hope for Clark and his supporters !
"on a New Year's Eve cruise around Portsmouth Harbor, Clark was overheard telling Garrett Scholes, a commercial photographer from Kittery, Maine, not only that Dean had indeed asked him to be vice president but also that he  hadn't "ruled it out."

Don't be such defeatists - Clark still has a chance to make it into the White House ! ( well, it's actually the Admiral's House - but it's pretty darn close ! )

Just mind your P's and Q's, or Dean will have to pick someone else ! :-)

5. Smells like a ploy
from the Cark camp to try to solidify his claim that he is in second place! He is now saying on his site that it is him or Dean. I don't think Gov Dean would have Clark on the ticket. I would lose a lot of respect for the good Gov if that happens.

Clark is just showing how ignorant he is about the process and 'meetings'. I'm surprised his handlers let him keep talking about this. Unless it's part of their ploy, they need to put a big red CLASSIFIED stamp on this nonsense.

9. Sure is nice having a candidate who isn't controlled by his
"handlers". Speaking the truth intimidates a lot of people obviously.

6. When was the last time
the two top candidates for a party nomination ended up on the same ticket?

I guess the primary thing isn't that old (started in '72 for dems?) So maybe its a poor question.

10. I guess if you need to
plug holes in your electability even dean and his supporters feel only Clark would be able do fill the void that is howard dean.

dean needs help, I see it, his supporters see it but Clark appears to be doing pretty damn well on his own without the need to plug holes or to entertain the idea that he'd be willing to sign on an also ran to be his VP when he wins.

The obsession of dean supporters to have my candidate on their candidates ticket shows me that my candidate is viewed by the opposition as the catch of a lifetime for them.

I'm sorry, my candidate is non-transferable, of course I cannot say for certain that there won't be a position for dean in a non verbal capacity within the Clark administration, but I can assure you it wouldn't be in the slot of VP, if the voters don't want dean, I can't see Clark forcing him upon the American people should something happen to him as President that would prevent him from finishing his term.

So wipe the sleep from you eyes and repeat after me, it was only a dream, it was only a dream.

13. It's nice to hear you've won
Just how many votes have been cast for Dean in the primaries?

OOOOps, looks like none, just like every body else. If you want to celebrate victory based on the polls, your candidate can be found at http://www.georgewbush.com/ he's won in every poll taken. :spank:

14. Differences on Cuba?
What are Dean's and Clark's positions regarding Cuba? Is there a defining difference? It's a defining topic for some.

16. from Clark's website
<<Cuba: I want to help bring democracy to the Cuban people, the only people in the Western Hemisphere who don't have democratic freedoms. I think we need to engage the people of Cuba. I don't think that embargoes have helped spread democracy in other parts of the world, like Eastern Europe. I don't support engagement in a way that rewards Fidel Castro. That's why I will work this problem with the leaders of the region. I would look at the circumstances at the time and then decide the best plan for bringing democracy to Cuba.>>

general overview, not sure if there is more in the pdf form. :)
