Just for fun. If you think of something I forgot feel free to suggest it. This is a poll of which controversy you found to be the most ridiculous, not which one you are angriest about, so theoretically it should be candidate-neutral.

NOTE: Updated to add "Plagiarism-Gate". Other ones that have not made the list for lack of space include "Tip Gate" (totally forgot about that one), "Pin-Gate" and "Screw-'Em Gate".

UPDATE 2: Replaced Colombia-Gate (which had gotten no votes) with "Bookbag-Gate", even though it didn't really get MSM attention.

I finally went with 'Finger-gate' based on the amount of bandwidth burned up posting dueling jpg's and mpg's trying to make the case one way or the other.

Having gone to school in the 60's and having had a bookbag I knew that one was bogus from the start.

I watched the video of Senator Obama's speech that raised the 'Finger-gate' issue probably half a dozen times and never got a hint of the perfidious act. It wasn't until I say the tempest here in DU that the idea even occurred to me.

It seems like today was the first day this week with no new gates, unless I missed one.

Oh yeah, and at my Passover seder tonight, everyone started laughing when we got to the part with the bitter herbs, because they knew exactly what I was thinking. I renamed them the "bittergate herbs", and we declared a protracted primary (i.e. if Clinton wins PA big) to be the 11th plague. Needless to say, all Obama supporters in my family.
