What's a Dutch Harbor Duck Fart?
Watching the new season of Deadliest Catch.

All the Captains have a last drink before leaving port called a Dutch Harbor Duck Fart

1 shot Crown Royal
Baileys Irish Creme
Kahlua

You gotta be tough to do shots of Crown Royal.

Put Hillary up there with the captains of the Time Bandit, Cornelia Marie and Northwestern..

1. Nothing is as hard-bitten as a drink with Baileys and Kahlua.

I recall some of my friends from the hippie days who dropped out of college and went to work on barges on the Mississippi River or on the fishing boats in Alaska. Work months on, make a lot of money, take months off and :smoke: :toast:

IMHO getting a Bachelors or Masters Degree was easier.

My fave is the Cornelia Marie, though I like them all.

17. I like Phil and his crew also and Sig, Edward & crew on the Northwestern and Andy & John on the
Time Bandit. I noticed that the Farwest Leader and the Maverick don't appear to be in this season. I wonder why.

3. Um. Pardon me.
Having lived in Anchorage, I can tell you that

DUCK FARTS are considered kindof a silly drink. People like them cause they're easy to do and are Alaskan. They aren't considered "tough".

Ever been to Alaska? It's beautiful!

7. Thanks for the update
Why are the crab boat captains drinking them?

My old boss was an officer with the Alaska RR. He told me great stories of places like Yellowknife. Is that the place where theres a bar where a real river runs through it?

15. 1) Yellowknife is in Canada. 2) Being a crabber doesn't require you drink hardcore shots.
I knew a crabber that liked caprisun juice packets

16. Thanks for the correction
He said it was up in an old gold mining town, a very rough town. Must have been Yellowknife, but I forgot it was Canada. Beautiful place!

4. Crown Royal goes down like silk
It's one of the smoothest blended whiskeys on the market. If she wanted to impress, she would have downed a shot of Old Overholt straight rye.

8. Per Hillary
I think it was the bartender's choice for her shot.

Myself, I can't drink dark liquors, they make me :puke:

I love watching Deadliest Catch. I worked for a railroad many years and the crab fisherman remind me of some of the guys in the operating dept.

14. Personally, I'd prefer the Grand Marnier
But still to rich for my taste.

A nice English Ale or Napa Valley Chardonnay is ok with me.

18. Please have pity on us....
Hunting on the duck blind wasn't the hit she thought it would be.

Are we being primed for a whopper?

"I'm the first environmentalist. I wrote the first crab legislation in a 123' swells" I was pulling 1000lb. crab pots bare handed up from the debths of the overBerring sea." "We came on top of them crust ashunz pulling 4gs in a corkscrew wake and I was skiing on a boogie board from behind the troller with nothing but a wet suit and underwater waffle maker." "Thats when I was a corporate attorney for Orange Lobster and Long John's Slivers" Even encountered a enemy sub or two while in tow so I bent the parascope back around in a downward loop so the Captain thought he was looking in a mirror"

"McCain and I have hi-C adventures and Obama...well, he visited a Captain Crunch serial factory in 02/marshmeller dept. and wrote a speech"

19. I'd be more impressed if she drank a 40 of Old English
and smoked a huge blunt laced with angel dust.

If Hillary Clinton does that, I will vote for her.
