1. This is really something
Could it be the first time any NFL owner has done organized something like this??

Too bad nothing is happening up my way (Jefferson-Clarion-Forest Counties).

6. It may cause the "Black and Gold Brigade" to have some
tailgate parties of their own. It's a Steelers fan club I belonged to when I lived in California :-).

7. He is one of the finest men you could ever meet
Edited on Thu Apr-17-08 07:37 PM by Divernan
Never made any big bucks out of the sport, but has stayed in the community and is ALWAYS available to donate his time and efforts for local causes and charities. I worked with him briefly years back, and he was just as kind and polite to the secretaries as he was to the CEO.

9. He's been a great supporter of Democratic candidates. He campaigned for Kerry in 2004,
and does a lot of charity work locally. We love our Franco in Pittsburgh!

8. Actually Jerome Bettis used to b e Republican too
One of the reasons I couldn't ever like him as a player was because he once openly talked about how he voted for Bush (I believe the first time). Now that he's seen the light... I'm liking him a lot better. Maybe he's in for a comeback?!

Pittsburgh Steelers are moving up the ranks in my football favs! (But they'll never overtake my Skins!)
