4. I think boycotting McDonald's could work very well
They're a shit company exploiting people's labor, prime destroyer of unions, and directly responsible for much of the animal suffering taking place in slaughterhouses today. (Fast Food Nation)

The deserve to be boycotted for that alone but boycotting them for the debates could hit hard.

Too bitter for Happy Meals

7. I can't possibly boycot any of those sponsers.
There's not a single one on the list that I ever buy anything from. I guess I have already been boycotting them for years, simply because they make the kind of crap I don't have any use for.

8. What fiziwig said.
I get a generic version of Prilosec, (Omprazole), from the VA, not even sure if it is from the same folks who make Prilosec,(Shwarz Pharma). That is an urgent med I'll not be giving up on but other than that, like fiziwig, I simply don't use any of these products....

17. if you have Dish Network, you can cancel "local" programming & save $5/month
"local programming" is NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS. I canceled some time ago, but asked yesterday that it be turned on again specifically so I could watch the debate.

Needless to say, I have re-canceled. Just pull the plug on all of em. Pretty soon I'm going to cancel the entire service--sick of the commercials, sick of CNN (the only "news" station I get now), sick of inanity like "Reba," "Living the Good Life," HSN, etc. etc. ad nauseum. There was one good month when they had a free preview of the Independent Movie Channel--now that was pretty cool. The only other good one is HGTV.
