I think he can bring moderate republicans to vote for Kerry. Yes, he is from small state and is old but so what?

If you're going to go with vermont, pick Dean.

If you really want a Republican Senator from a North Eastern state, try Olympia Snowe. I have no idea why she's a Republican.

3. What about Bob Graham from Florida?
He has experience as a governor and a senator, and a good record on senior citizen issues, education, the environment, immigration, etc. etc.

5. Graham and National Security
Graham has awesome NS creds, and has shown no bones about dogging Bush for his foul ups.

Governor and Senator, he's one of Florida's favorite sons.

6. Yeah, reading his "credits"
I see a lot of positives and not really any negatives. It says that he wrote "parts" of the Patriot Act, but I'm going to assume that the parts that he wrote were really about SECURITY and not about invading everyone's privacy on a whim. Since Florida has a big senior population and a big immigrant population, he's got plenty of experience dealing with the issues and challenges of both groups.
