More than anything, the Democratic Party needs a fighter...
A down in the ditch, bite your ear off and spit it out, blood and guts fighter. We don't need a leader that will go whichever way the wind is blowing. We need a leader that understands the corporate media is not a friend of working people or the Democratic Party. They have to be attacked as if they were the running mate of the Republican candidate.

No one really believes that the Swift Boat veterans could have gotten away with their attacks upon John Kerry without the assistance of the corporate media. No one should really believe that the Democratic candidate this time will get the same treatment as the corporate-loving Republicans. It's a fact that we will have to accept and defeat if we are going to win the White House. We will need a leader that will not be afraid to attack these blood-sucking leeches in the media by name.

We don't need a Party that lives in fear of saying a word that might be attacked by the right wingers. It could be any word. It could be "elitist". It could be "bitter". It could be "progressive". It could be any word. It is what we let them define the word as meaning.

So long as we play this game, we will lose. Many Democrats act as if they are programmed to be losers. If Hillary is the nominee, the Republicans will be asking about what Bill Clinton will be doing in the White House with nothing to do? If Obama is the nominee, the Republicans will attack on the Reverend, on the "bitter" comments or whatever they think will be pushed by their friends in the media. It is to be expected. That is why we need a fighter. We do not need someone who will cower in the corner and hope that it blows over. We need someone that will spit in their eye and dare them to continue what they are doing.

But most of all, we need Democratic supporters with backbones. No one can do it alone. We need to stop being afraid to speak for fear of saying something "elitist" or wrong. It is only elitist if we let them define it as elitist. We cannot surrender to these propaganda monkeys. We have to be ready to defend our positions. If that means a bloody fight, then so be it.

5. Americans will get more of the same...
Just as they did in 2004 if the Democratic nominee does not fight harder. If we let them define the terms of the battle, we will lose again. The people are not so much brighter now than in 2004, as much as we would wish them to be.

to do. Constitution? Nope this war and terrorism they say. I say bull!!

Like Jefferson hold that Constitution and Bill of Rights high. It belongs to America not to Bush's trash heap.

4. I think Obama is proving himself to be quite the fighter.
That counter-punch style of his is incredibly devastating. Much more to my liking than Clinton's "constant offensive" approach.

6. Hillary fights for herself. Obama fights for Americans.
Every big fight Hillary's ever been in had been only to protect her own arse. I can't think of one fight for Americans she'd prevailed in.

8. Obama may say he fights for America.
What has he done since he came to Congress? Why isn't he demanding the impeachment of Cheney and Bush for their lies and robbery? Where is that courage?

Why are President Bush and Cheney still there? Why haven't they supported impeachment? The worst administration in history and they look the other way.

Obama says he won't further investigate 911. In the 2006 election we demand that and accountability. Seems they have short memories.

13. Why do people abhor Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan?
I have no clue. But you get more bees with honey. I bet Senator Obama wouldn't turn either of these people/groups away, if he has the opportunity.

of our country and our Constitution. I do not like the way some Democrats have joined forces with the dark side.

16. Obama's comparison of Hillary to Annie Oakley certainly showed some fight
And when he said he's love to see a picture of her in a duck blind it showed his humor, too.

But he's got more than enough fight to defeat the Republicans in November. Especially since what he says is actually backed by things like reality and truth.

21. Obama is one hell of a fighter off of the streets of Chicago. He's a SMART fighter
and you're down before you even *think* that you've been hit.

In these times of trial and tribulation, the American People want "The Truth" and resent being pandered to. Obama fights back with cutting sarcasm and reemphasizing what is important to The Average American.

If we were enjoying a GOOD economy, those smarmy a** tricks would work because people are more willing to be entertained. NOW they are taking their politics seriously and that favors politicians like Obama who are not afraid to speak the unvarnished truth.

Hillary's out of her league because Obama's playing a different kind of *Hardball.*

22. This is similar to other attacks such as...
The $400 dollar haircut. The elitist windsurfer. The cheese on the Philly hoagie. They absolutely have to be called on these type of attacks - not supported by voters for either candidate. Open your eyes.
