When Bush idiotically said that fish and humans can co-exist. . .
the press pretty much ignored it--Bush suffered no repercussions. It may have given us all a hearty laugh, but there wasn't any talk in the press about his fitness for office. If I'm not mistaken he uttered that idiocy while campaigning against Al Gore. I am very bitter about constantly having to hear about "bitter" for 4 days in a row, and counting. Yes, I do believe the press was intentionally and unfairly harsh on Al Gore while giving The Idiot a free ride. If the press is going to excessively scrutinize every word Obama says we could very well be done for, and be relegated to how we're going to survive 4 years of McCain.

If only Bush's comment, "our enemy never stops looking for ways to harm our country, and neither do we", garnered just one-quarter (!) the attention Obama's bitter comment has gotten. Sigh.
