I want anyone who supports Hillary's latest attack to post in this thread
This thread links to Hillary Clinton's latest TV ad exploiting the "bitter" remark. If you haven't seen it yet, see it now.

If you agree with this ad, support this ad, admire this ad, or any other permutation of positive feelings for this ad and/or Hillary Clinton after seeing this ad, please reply to this thread with "here" or "present".

If you're against it, disgusted by it, hate it, etcetera, ignore this thread.

2. Present! (Many thanks to Barack for the usage of that term)
Good job at getting to the heart of the matter. Obama looks down on small town folks in Middle America.

3. Hey-do you still stand by your claim that Obama said Wright is like a "crazy uncle"?

11. His exact words were
In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Story?id=4443788

In context most news organizations and op eds agreed that it sounded like he was implying that he was "crazy" like Ross Perot referred to the "Crazy Aunt in the Basement" but no, he did not use the term crazy. He said Cheney was like a crazy uncle.

Obama started comparing him to a crazy uncle. Finally, last Friday, he condemned his statements and kicked him out of the campaign. Wright did his final service to Obama by retiring on Feb. 11, a month before ABC aired his sermons.

Crazy Like an Uncle
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/03/crazy-like-an-uncle.php

Obama's various attempts at brushing the controversy aside (Wright is like a crazy uncle, he comes from a different generation, no guilt by association)
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/obamas_rationale_for_bid_in_je.html

Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with." It's the old "crazy uncle" excuse, but the problem with that is, while you can't pick your relatives, you do pick your pastor.

12. So again-HIS exact words were "OLD uncle"-not "CRAZY uncle."

Editorials and opeds using those words are not OBAMA using those words. Thanks again! :hi:

21. Learn to let go.
The Serenity Prayer is helpful in this regard.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

9. Sets The Stage Brilliantly For 2012
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 07:44 PM by Median Democrat
The 2008 election is spoiled goods. Even liberal commentator Stephanie Miller has pretty much conceded that John McCain is probably going to win. So, what is the end game for Hillary?

I think the key for a Hillary victory in 2012 is to ensure that McCain wins and that he wins for reasons that are different from those he might win on against Hillary. Hillary and her surrogates have raised:

1. Gov. Rendell - Many white people won't vote for an African American.
2. Ferraro - Obama got where he is because he is black.
3. Clinton - Obama is not experienced.
4. Clinton - Obama is elitist.

The brilliant things about these attacks is that McCain can use them as well, and Obama can't really respond in kind about the Marc Rich pardon or Bill Clinton's Kazak business deals without tarnishing his appeal. Also, none of these four points apply to Hillary.

So, McCain beats Obama due in part to Nos. 1 through 4, and the US continues Bush's policies, which sets the stage for a Hillary Clinton presidential run in 2012. Hillary will point out that points 1 through 4 do not apply to her, thus she is the best option to run against President McCain in 2012. Also, for all the Obama supporters who swear they would never vote for Hillary in 2012, get real. Are you seriously going to vote for Ralph Nader again?

Lets not be naive. This is about winning and power, and would you really bet against Hillary?

Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 07:46 PM by Maribelle
fiercer, shriller, and more bombastic than Hillary and her campaign could ever dream of.

But then, hopefully, the good Democrats will see through the facade of Obama and will select her as the nominee. Then your bitter nightmare will be over in Denver and you can go and enjoy watching the Red Sox win the World Series.

Wondering if some of you are even human? To those of you who have decided that 2008 is a wash because Hill can't win it, I hope you don't have any children to die in McCain's inevitable World War. He'll be able to kill quite a few of them before 2012.

28. How about if I do neither?
I'm not really a big fan of commercials of any kind, and don't think I'll get anything useful from watching any politicians campaign commercial, which has nothing to do with reality, and everything to do with propaganda.

I'm neither supportive of HRCs campaign, nor against, disgusted, or "hate" her campaign.
