Hey everybody,
I'm new here, so hi all! Okay, this election season was ridiculous from the beginning. People have been counting down the days until Bush leaves the White House since... he got re-elected. The Republican contenders didn't believe in education, I mean evolution. Hillary Clinton started jockeying for Prez probably sometime in the 90's. Politicians seem to have forgotten their old alliances or foes. Everybody who follows the news has gotten a graduate-level education in the Democratic Primary voting process, from caucuses to superdelegates to the credentials committee. Voter turnout is ridiculous. Is anybody keeping a record of all those special moments along the way, I wonder.
My question is, what is your favorite election season moment so far?
For me, a favorite is when Tancredo, Brownback, and Huckabee raising their hands to show that they don't believe in evolution.
Another top fave is a personal experience: when I was doing a visibility event for Obama in my neighborhood, an Obama operative pulled up in his black sedan and lectured me on how to interact with people. He said, "I don't know what you think your job description is, but you need to be confronting people and getting them to vote for Obama." That was priceless.
The most ridiculous, however, may be the times when the campaigns and the affairs of their staff actually affected international relations with our neighbors, like Canada and Colombia.
