Florida Dem says DNC is prejudiced toward caucasions in Florida....and sues them again.

Now Victor DiMaio has gone to a new low. This is his second lawsuit, his third court hearing. He said would use the racial diversity issue, and he is...most certainly.

He is saying that the DNC allowed South Carolina to move up its primary because of its large African America population. He says that Nevada was allowed to move up because it has a large Hispanic population.

He says the DNC is punishing Florida for having a large caucasion population.

TAMPA -- Vic Dimaio, the man who sued the Democratic National Committe for ignoring Florida's delegates, is claiming racial discrimination.

At a press conference Thursday, Dimaio said the DNC punished Florida and Michigan, but refused to punish South Carolina and Nevada for moving their primary contest dates.

Dimaio claims the DNC allowed South Carolina to move its date because the state has a large African American population. He also claims Nevada was allowed to move its date because the state has a large Latino population.

Dimaio said Florida and Michigan were punished for having a large caucasion population.

He is using a very disingenuous argument.

The states of NV and SC along with IA and NH were already in the pre-window before February 5th.

They worked with the DNC to get permission to move when they were leapfrogged by Michigan and Florida.

DiMaio said he would do this. He said he would use racial overtones in this next lawsuit. His lawyer is chairman of county Democrats in the Tampa area. Wonder if his fellow Democrats think the DNC is racist.

With Bill Nelson calling for blood on the floor in Denver, and Wasserman Schultz changing the rules for the primary.....and Victor suing on racism...

It is going to be one interesting time from here on out to November.

Blocking a revote to force the seating of delegates from the original primary was part of Clinton's original strategy.

going first. So the DNC under Dean put two more diverse states with them.

Now they are being blamed for being racist.

Why are not more people alarmed, truly alarmed that the lawyer doing this is chairman of the Democrats in Hillsborough County...and is suing to call his own party racist?

Makes it clear that the DNC in his tenure has raised 20% more than the last chairman...but that he is not banking it, is rebuilding infrastructure. Says the DCCC and DSCC are profiting from his expenditures in many ways because there is something there in each state for them to work with.

Thinks we might pick up a senate and perhaps a house seat in Alaska.

Says the FL and MI delegations will have seats at the convention, but it is not going to be up to him if they count toward the nominee.

I know this has been going on for a long time. But this is our party, our country, the electing of the president we are talking about.

This is shocking to me. They have stopped even pretending to act like Democrats about it.

I don't see anyone especially upset about it much anymore. If the court accepts this...it could go higher. It could be hanging over the convention and could make the primary seem invalid if Obama wins.

New lawsuit by activist

DiMaio, a political consultant who is finance director of the Hillsborough Democratic Party, said the DNC accepted $15 million from the federal government to arrange its national convention. Therefore, he said, the party is forbidden to discriminate on the basis of race.

In an unsuccessful suit brought by U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and Democratic members of Congress, DiMaio said, the national party admitted that its reasons for allowing South Carolina and Nevada to vote early was that Nevada has a large Hispanic population and 55 percent of South Carolina Democrats are black. DiMaio said it might be good to make candidates prove their appeal to different ethnic groups, after the caucus and primary in heavily white Iowa and New Hampshire, but that accepting federal money means the party can't make decisions based on race.

If South Carolina and Nevada had been chosen for geographic reasons, rather than race considerations, it might be different, DiMaio said.

"I think we have a better chance in federal court with this case," he said after filing the suit in Tampa. "The current Supreme Court is very conservative and it has held distinctions based on race to a very high level of scrutiny."

Wanting a ruling against racial diversity, hoping for a conservative court.
