DUer's that are not New Democrats, just Democrats and traditional Democratic voters silent thread.
This is a thread for those of US that the New Democrats/Democratic Leadership Council abandoned to just silently gather together as Democratic voters and citizens of this community.

9. What does the pentacle stand for?
I'm a recovering catholic and I don't subscribe to any organized religion. I like buddhist teachings but I'm still wrapping my head around it

12. I'm Wiccan- it is a common symbol of my faith
The five points represent Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. The circle represents the circle of life.

28. So, can I not ask what it's all about?
People are reacting as if I am saying, "Please take that cross avatar off!" That's not the case at all. It's not very common to see that as someone's avatar and I was curious.

30. I just said it was odd.
Just like me saying, "what's with the Dean avatar" would be odd, as if I couldn't figure it out on my own.

Didn't seem like a question as much as commentary to me. But whatever.

32. Even if you were curious (about what, anyway?)
Your post was accusatory and your follow-up posts confirm that attitude.

It's probably not common to see the cross as someone's avatar here because of posters like, and even worse than, you.

I guess I am just very anti religious and my thoughts came through on my post. To those that I have offended, I apologize

I'll vote for you. Offer good until Nov 08. After that I'm leaving unless we swing back. Even if we lose this time.

10. I was brought up as an old-fashioned, union-loving, party of the little guy New Deal Democrat.
I don't recognize the Democratic party anymore. But obviously, the feeling is mutual -- they don't recognize me, either.

Although I never followed the ND/DLC so I never really felt abandoned. I just want people to know I am here with the rest of the party.

We never left.
