Who Is She Today? Now Clinton Says She's "Paulette Revere"!
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 06:52 PM by BlooInBloo
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/03/hillary-i-feel-like-paule_n_94954.html

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Senator Clinton says she feels like Paul Revere. Make that Paulette Revere.

"Senator Obama has been very timid and very unenthusiastic with doing anything with the economy," Clinton, D-N.Y., said at a tarmac press conference in Burbank, California on Thursday, "I feel like Paulette Revere -- the recession is coming, the recession is coming!"

She seems to want to be everybody but herself - which is understandable, I suppose.

Sure Clinton... you're the only one who thinks a recession is coming (or already here). Just you. All alone.

Except... you're a LIAR. Just a few days ago:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/27/obama-uses-the-r-word-_n_93798.html

Obama Uses The "R" Word, Clinton Doesn't

And while both Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton hit many of the same notes -- the need for greater housing security, the anger towards special interests, the "I feel your pain" vibes -- there were minor distinctions. One of those was to characterize the current crisis.

Speaking in downtown Manhattan on Thursday, Obama used, as NBC's Domenico Montanaro pointed out, "the 'R' word."

"As most experts know, our economy is in a recession," said the Illinois Democrat.

It was, despite a preponderance of evidence of a tumbling economy, a debatable use of the term, and one that the Clinton campaign declined to copy.

hahahaha! She doesn't even try to keep track of her own lies.

EDIT: Stupid typo finally caught.

7. Hillary is that lying woman from the SNL comedy skits
She's completely lost touch with reality as her defeat becomes more obvious to everyone but her.

A new lie is her answer to her every deficiency.

"I was going to join the Marines. I was taking sniper fire in Bosnia. I was co president. I was against NAFTA. I am an expert on economics."

She's delusional.

53. Hillary fiddled while Rome burned, Obama intro'd a bill
Senator Barack Obama. As for speaking out on the issue, here's a link to Sen. Obama's introduction of S. 1222. If you don't feel like reading the entire transcript, here's an excerpt;

"Many States are actively trying to prevent a wave of expected foreclosures as housing prices stop rising while adjustable rates on many risk loans start rising. STOP FRAUD instructs the Government Accountability Office to evaluate the various State initiatives and report to Congress on lending practices and regulations related to mortgage fraud and deception, predatory lending, and homeownership preservation efforts. We cannot sit on the sidelines while increasing numbers of American families face the risk of losing their homes."

Not only that, Sen. Obama originally introduced the bill during the 109th Congress, on Feb. 14, 2006, but it was "killed" at the end of the 109th session, as all proposed bills and resolutions that haven't passed are cleared from the books between sessions. Here's a link to Sen. Obama's introduction of that bill, Senate Bill 2280 (109th Congress). Again, an excerpt for those who don't feel up to the task:

"I am talking about the problem of mortgage fraud--the practice of defrauding individuals of their rightful property, and using tricks and schemes to steal from banks and other financial institutions. Mortgage fraud comes in a variety of forms, from inflated appraisals to the use of straw buyers, but the net result is the same: financial institutions lose out to the tune of approximately $1.01 billion each year, and consumers lose their savings, their good credit, and their homes."

15. She never defined what her campaign was about.
Instead she just continually re-molded herself into what she thought a "winning candidate" looked like in whichever particular state she was in.

She's changed personas constantly throughout this election.

And now that her campaign is most assuredly hearing the death knells, the persona changes have accelerated at a frightening and desperate pace.

You can obviously compare and contrast with Obama whose campaign had a clear vision from day one, if you will, and has allowed him to protray himself as the sure, steady candidate. THAT is the kind of candidate that people elect for President.

Since Revere did not go nearly as far as my cousin Israel Bissell.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_Bissell

"Israel Bissell (1752-1823) was a post rider in Massachusetts who alerted the American colonists of the British attack on April 19, 1775. He rode for four days and six hours covering the 345 miles from Watertown, Massachusetts to Philadelphia along the Old Post Road, shouting "To arms, to arms, the war has begun," and carrying a message from General Joseph Palmer which was copied at each of his stops and redistributed:"

But it was Revere who was hyped by Longfellow, while Bissell's exploits are mostly unknown, having been written about by an obscure poet who was a woman

"Although Paul Revere is better known due to the epic poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Bissell was the subject of the less well known "Ride, Israel, Ride," an epic poem by Marie Rockwood of Stockbridge."

Sounds like Ride, Sally Ride. So Hillary will hype herself over the unknown bloggers who have been warning for some time, and a person like me who asked her office to support aid to states, to LIHEAP, to extend unemployment benefits, and for Food Stamps. Meanwhile Hillary was giving speeches in South Carolina and elsewhere touting Bush's b.s. stimulus bill, claiming it "provided help to those who need it most".

33. Obama’s Speech on the Economy - March 27, 2008

Obama’s Speech on the Economy
By The New York Times

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/03/27/obamas-speech-on-the-economy/?ref=business

In a speech at Cooper Union in New York, Senator Barack Obama proposed relief for homeowners and an additional $30 billion stimulus package to address the nation’s economic woes.

Mr. Obama outlined six principles that he said “should guide the legal reforms needed to establish a 21st century regulatory system.”

But he cautioned that the “change we need goes beyond laws and regulation – we need a shift in the cultures of our financial institutions and our regulatory agencies.”

.............

Duh!!!!!!!!! Isn't anyone on her payroll keeping track of his major speeches? I guess to them it's just words or else they are going after the people who don't have TV's or internet service!

:argh:

40. Ah, geez. She's trying "earn" a nickname.
I read an article years ago written by a man who described his boyhood baseball days. All his heroes had nicknames, as did all his pals. He wanted a nickname so badly he could taste it. He tried suggesting they call him by some name, but his buddies refused. He acted like a hillbilly hoping they'd start calling him Rube; he bleached his hair so they'd call him Whitey. But nothing.

So far, Senator Clinton has suggested for her nickname Rambo, Rocky, Paulette Revere, Ready on Day One, 1-900-Morning President, and McCain's clone. She needs to step back, take a breath, and quit forcing the issue.
