Would Barbara Boxer be interested in being VP? Any ideas?

Boxer has impressed me for years with her ability to get straight to the heart of important matters. She does not come across as being divisive (but I only "know" her through C-SPAN broadcasts).

So, what do you think? Any interest on her part?? Or do we need her more in the Senate?

I think Obama should consider one of the following people for VP.

3. Kathleen Sebelius

4. Barbara Boxer

5. Wesley Clark

35. I LOVE Barbara Boxer. She's my Senator and she's so great she ALMOST makes up for

the "cave-woman" dianne feinstein.

But I would hesitate to pull another Democrat out of the Senate. We just barely have a majority, and there's no way of knowing how much we'd be able to reinforce that in November. Besides, Der Gropenator is a republi-CON and I'd hate to think who he might want to appoint to take her place (not completely sure that's the system out here, though, but you have to chess-game this kind of thing out a little). We will be taking ONE Democrat out of the Senate, as is. Barbara would serve elegantly as Vice President, but I'd hate to see her leave. We need her in there. But then again, we'd need her WHEREVER she wound up.

Unless they also have experience as governor and/or military leader.

Bill Clinton tapped Senator Al Gore, but Clinton was a governor. I think Obama needs to pick a governor...

On a personal level, I'd love to see her as VP (or Prez!), but as others have mentioned, we need her in the Senate. Plus, from a political perspective, not sure how many votes she could "bring" to the ticket. There's always so much more that goes into choosing a running mate than just picking the person who would be best. Unfortunately.
