Obama cannot afford anymore coverage of Wright, so much for Wright's freedom of speech!

TAMPA — The first public appearance of Barack Obama's controversial pastor since his inflammatory comments rocked the presidential campaign was abruptly called off Tuesday.


Obama's former pastor won't be giving sermons in Houston

Many people that traveled across the country to hear him were angry at the last minute cancellation in Tampa.


Can the Obama campaign keep him quiet until the election is over, and should they?

The Rev. Marcus Cosby, pastor at Houston's Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, told Houston television station KTRK and the Houston Chronicle that safety concerns had prompted Wright's decision.

Cosby told the Chronicle that Wright cited three reasons for canceling: "the safety of the institution to which he has been invited; the safety of his family, which has been placed in harm's way; and for his own safety."

Wright also canceled his appearance Tuesday in Florida at a Tampa-area church. The hosting church said it asked Wright to cancel his scheduled three-day appearance because of security questions.

4. Duh, well of course he has to come up with some reason to cancel,

He can't tell the truth. We all can figure out why he was cancelled if we have any sense of logic. To say it's because of security is ludicrous and people other than Obama supporters can see right through his "reason".
