Clinton fuels the flames of "Wright-gate"
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

(CNN) — Hillary Clinton would have long disassociated herself from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright if she was a member of his church, the Democratic presidential candidate said Tuesday — the first time she or her campaign has commented directly on the issue that has swirled around rival Barack Obama's campaign in recent weeks.

"I think given all we have heard and seen, he would not have been my pastor," Clinton said in a press conference in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The comments came hours after the New York senator made similar comments to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review in an editorial board interview. (Watch Clinton's comments)

"You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend," she told the paper. Clinton also repeated those remarks in the press conference.

An Obama campaign spokesman said Clinton's comments were part of a "transparent effort to distract attention away from the story she made up about dodging sniper fire in Bosnia."

“The truth is, Barack Obama has already spoken out against his pastor’s offensive comments and addressed the issue of race in America with a deeply personal and uncommonly honest speech," Obama Campaign Press Secretary Bill Burton said. "The American people deserve better than tired political games that do nothing to solve the larger challenges facing this country."

1. Well this is great because once she touches it all of the media will
leave it alone because it is now a 'partisan' issue and once it becomes 'partisan' they are not going to step in and help one team make the points over the other team.

Secondly everyone who listens to her will see it as kicking a guy when he is down (Rev Wright) especially after that guy helped her husband when he was down.

Thirdly everyone will wonder 'why is she bringing this up?' what is it she is trying to divert us from?

4. Is she more worried about Fire by SniperLiarGate
than she lets on? Is that why lanny davis was front and center on the tube today?

BeyondGeo has a good analysis, imo..

6. Yes because they have two immediate worries
1) Superdelegates If Richardson's illness becomes infectious they will start a bunch of superdelegates running for the exits

2) Contributors all those internet contributions will dry up and they are spending $ 1 million a day.

3. Isn't it odd that
even McCain and Huckabee said this issue is out of bounds, but Clinton has no problem turning on the sewage pump? McCain and Huckabee are more moral than Clinton? Could be...

7. That is the worst part!
Even McCain has enough tact to not go near this. Hillary on the other hand...

9. It pretty much proves the "win at all costs" theory...
And maybe the 2012 election theory as well. She doesn't mind taking down the whole party with her. Hell, the whole country.

5. I am happy she is keeping this going. Hell, the great so called
race speech was nothing more then a coverup of obama's lie. For a year he told us all that he had never been in a sermon that wright preached hate towrds anything WHITE, but in his race speech he said he had, and so the lie is coverup because the leftleaningwhoremedia gives him a free ride. Wonder why? Because if they did not go along obama and his surrogates would holla, racist, racist, racist.....so he has them scared to death.....and that is not good for the rest of us.....

Obama reminds me of the peckerheads down south that were so unqualifed to hold an office but because this person was white and ran against a black, then it was okay for whites to vote for the white...in this case obama and his surrogates with the help of the whoremedia worked it out that obama's campaign played the race card and then blamed it on Hillary and Bill....Damn, and they did a good job too...but Obama I know the type and the kind you are brother, and you are no better then the white peckerheads that did exactly what you are doing.....

Shalom

11. Hate Speech?
You might want to read what you write. I've rarely seen anything so hateful.
